Thomas' Danish Delight

This is an unfortunately-timed picture of Jamil, and I do not mean to knock on the kid, but he does look kinda silly, you must admit.  That being said, I'm very excited, as rocky suggested I clarify, to see what he can do on the court.

In the end, Maymon is probably the one looking the silliest, but good luck to him anyways.  Jamil, I'm sure your sense of humor will shake this picture off if you've seen it.

So...uh...you could edit your original post to just say: "I'm extremely excited to see what Jamil can do next year".  I'm not sure what your point was in sharing that unfortunate picture.

Agree, why would one post such a thing when the guy is the biggest cheerleader on the bench.  Sad......

Agreed. But in all honesty, is that Maymon shooting?

That is a slashing 2 finishing at the hole. That's what happens you run the offense through talent.

Wowzers, chill people.  I'm extremely excited to see what Jamil can do next year and I'm not gonna let an unfortunately-timed photograph ruin my day.

No negative waves, need the positive vibes....

If you consider it an unfortunately timed picture, why post it?

StillWarriors

I would think Jamil would get a chuckle out of the picture. How could one not find that funny. I could see if the post was made with a comment saying he plays D like a wuss or something, but that wasn't the case. With the way people often attack our players and coaches on this board, it shocks me that this photo strikes a nerve.

I can support that edit.

To StillWarriors - the original topic just said "I hope Jamil Wilson plays better defense than this next year" with the picture, so it was hard to tell if it was supposed to be a rip, or amusing, or what.

Blackhat

Well Buzz won't have to work too hard implementing his "no fouls on D" philosophy with Jamil.

Jamil's not the power forward/enforcer we need.   I hope Buzz will land that guy.

Maybe the word FAIL at the top has something to do with it.

In Jamil's defense, I believe that he had 4 fouls at the time of the photo.  He was trying to stay clear of Maymon to keep from fouling out of the game.

Interesting note, Vander Blue was 3-4 on 3 pt attempts in that game.

Eford is correct. Jamil had a great tournament until that final. He was doing it alone with Horlick. BTW any word on Lomomba?  He pretty much fell off the radar.

We are lucky to have Jamil Wilson.  He is super talented.  He will be a great player for Marquette the next three years!

JFB IMO is bigger and stronger, but Jamil is better with the ball in his hands and can create his own shot.

How does Jamil's jump shot compare to JFB's?  I've never seen him play.

RawdogDX

What is up with all the censorship?  I didn't have any problem with the original title or post.  It was pretty clear that it was a joke, unless you actually thought that a college basketball fan was basing his defensive assessment of a player on 1 still shot.

I'm sure Jamil has seen the picture and suffered some good natured ribbing at the hands of teammates about it.  If he's an A-Rodian like douche, he got mad.  If he's the guy I've watched all year on the bench, I'm guessing he laughed about it.

People who got mad need to reassess their priorities and smoke a J.

He struggled from the outside last year when playing for Oregon.  His 3FG% was something like 28%.
