Mike Brey Says Marquette Is In

Mike Brey was on 670 Score in Chicago this morning.  At the end of the interview, Brian Hanley (a Marquette alum) brought up Doc's game winner over Notre Dame.  They started talking about Marquette this season and Brey said Marquette will get in the tournament.

Brey will shill for the conference like a good soldier and once you add the beating his team got from MU it's a no-brainer that he'll trump the Warriors any chance he gets. In the end, though, it means nothing.

Brey is doing what he's supposed to....shill for a fellow Big East member.  We see this every year in every conference.  The scary part is that you don't want to be the shilled, because it means you're hanging by a thread.

Of course this is a no brainer that he would say this.  Brey has always been very complimentary of Marquette in the past.  I hate Notre Dame, but I actually really like Brey.  Watching him coach he rarely complains to the refs and when his teams make errors he's not kicking and screaming, he's explaining the mistakes.  I really like a guy who's under control.  And again, he always sings the praises of Marquette.

He is a Cubs fan, a Marquette fan, and even bought me and robmufan a beer.  Yet I still dislike him.
