Look, expectations for this year are basically where the team is. And they are struggling at the position we all figured (or should have figured) they would....PG. We had two senior PGs last year who understood how to run an offense. We have nobody who can do that this year.

Is some of that coaching? You better believe it. But it's also just a fact of life when your team turns over. Cadougan was lost all year last season. Buycks is no PG. Vander, while struggling, I think still looks like he'll be a baller. We have nobody out there taking charge at the position that touches the ball every possession.

We can all bitch and moan about all the team's problems on D (they have many) and our coaches inability to recognize when to take a time-out, but at the end of the day, our lack of a true PG who can put up more assists than turnovers and knock down an open jumper is what's killing us.

They're not offensive minded guards! Cadougan is a pass, pass, pass, pass, think about driving, pass PG. Blue is not a PG but he's a Frosh still learning to defend and needs the summer to work on his shot, cuz he has none.

Buycks has been bad of late, no question.  Cadougan cannot score, and as for Blue, I hate to say it, but whenever he touches the ball I'm legitimately relieved when he manages to pass it to another MU player without turning it over, which is a far cry from being our best recruit in 30 years.

Buycks has not hit a shot in weeks tonight he had one pathetic turnover after another and forced passes to guys that were not open time and time again.

Junior after a good decemeber and January has been horrible.  he looks like he is going to dribble it off his foot or over his head every time.  Can he penetrate without travelling?

DJO is horrendous incredibly loose with the ball and refuses to shoot and plays shitty defense.

Vander should not be on the court.  No way Jones si worse than him right now.  he either puts up a bad shot or turns it over almost every time he touches it at this point.

Those are our 4 perimeter players they have been absolutely horrendous. 

Meanwhile Fulce, Jimmy, Jae, DG, and Otule have been pretty good.

Agreed CT.  My GF asked what was wrong with the team.  I don't know.  I don't think it's all Buzz - he's been in lots of close games, but never this many melt downs.  I'm left blaming the players, who just don't seem to play well together (even if they all get along just fine).

Also, as many have noted, Otule is developing just fine, but everyone needs to learn which eye is his blind spot, and stop passing it that way!

Not a PG, but DJO is clueless with what to do with the ball. If he's not going to the rim, he's dribbling it without purposed so much you 'd need to get him a bib to wipe his mouth. Moreover, he was forcing passes and needs to work on a handle that won't get him in trouble.

Having Cadougan AND Blue on the court makes it easy for the opposing defense. Let them shoot and focus on the three others as well as the boards.

Exactly right. Its what I said earlier in the week, and that game last night clearly validated it. That game was awful. I don't necessarily blame Buycks or Cadougan because they are what they are, but it is the number 1 issue with this team.

Wow. Seeing those stats all in one place is pretty astounding.  Might I add we were at home, making any possible excuses for all those turnovers less plausible.

The bottom line is we don't have a legit point guard right know -  we all know this to be true because Buycks is our best option....  Poor guy had one of the most horrible games I have ever seen.
