Noticed that Jimmy was missing for a lot of the game & didn't start due to concision, but we were able to claw our way back w/ him on the floor.  Was a lack of Jimmy the reason for our woes for 3/4 of the game?

Glass was tipped over tonight and character relieved...liked what I saw....good W I say...will go a long way for confidence down the stretch

Buycks struggled.  Maybe his worst game in a while.
Crowder played below average.  Obviously his 2 huge threes down the stretch were bigtime.
DJO struggled.
Blue has no offense.
Junior's offense is not much better.
COT played decent for what I expect.
Devante needs his own defensive assistant coach.
Fulce played fantastic.

Add it up on the road in the big east.

Team plays better when they get more.

Every team has to face a battle (or two) during the year like this.  Road game against a poor team, and sometimes you are going to be flat.  Look at St. John's last year...USF the year before  Wisconsin scored 18 points in the first half against Iowa last night and needed overtime to win it.

The problem is that people's expectations are too high and they expect perfection out of college-aged kids.  Heck, even top-level NBA teams play flat on the road some nights.  It happens.

I was very critical of the first half play, and the last minute of the game yesterday, but am thankful we won. Buzz made a good adjustment by going to the press.

But let's face it, we played poorly against a very inferior team. If it weren't for their numerous TO's (a number which were unforced), we would have lost. And when guys are playing poorly, they should not be in there. Yes, we do not have to call players names, but we can be critical of players who are playing poorly.

Blue has been playing poorly for a number of games, and imo he continued last night. Many think he is in there because of his D, but I think it is overrated. He is a frosh an is playing like it. Biggest criticism is that he has no business jacking up a 3 when he is shooting poorly.

Last night:
~~Nothing from the bigs
~~Fulce did well, but is out of place in the post.
~~Our Guard play, DJO, Buycks and Blue, was terrible
~~Crowder came up big with two huge 3's. He should be STOG
~~FT shooting was atrocious. That needs to get a handle on it, and the coaches better have them working on FT's
~~Hopefully, this was just a terrible game by us, but we were extremely lucky.

I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Reason for off night ....

How about it happens.  Stop trying to fix and anomaly.  You'll just make things worse.
