Just don't let him drive the team van.

Seriously, though, doesn't make much sense to bring him for just one year.

NYWarrior

he is visiting iowa state today ....

Nukem2

He is too late for late admission this semester and would have to sit out next year and be eligible for the 2012-2013 season.  Does not seem to make sense from the standpoint of balancing the roster or the classes even if can turn his situation around (whatever that may be ).

Robert Jackson

As soon as Korie grows about 10 inches, adds 90 pounds and develops a post game, that becomes a valid point.

I think the point is that a player can make a big contribution even if that player is on the team for one year.

Perhaps, but this particular discussion is about Korie Lucious.
And both in terms of position and ability, Korie Lucious isn't that guy, especially when you consider that the team would be tying up a scholie for two years so that he can play one.
On top of that, do we really want to bring in a kid who got kicked out of his last school for getting arrested and being unable to adhere to team rules?

+1.  This is a common sense NO.  If he wants to come home he can go to UWM.

Totally agree. I was just clarifying the overarching point.

GGGG

Furthermore, if we take him for one year, we have no remaining scholies for 2012...assuming of course that we give out the last one for 2011.  (One because Lucious would take it.)

Robert Jackson filled a need.  We will have a senior Junior Cadougan at point by that time, who by then is probably better than Lucious anyway.

You assuming we have no more transfers.  Every semester end since Buzz arrived we have had a transfer (Not a knock against Buzz as transferring is out of control now with over 600 at the D1 level this year, a record.  Everyone has them.)

Maybe we should assume one or two guys will leave by the 2012/2013 season.  Not saying KL is the answer (he's going to Iowa State) but we need to look at all options.

Let him go to Iowa State aka "University where Transfers' careers go and die"
SS Marquette

jfmu
