For what its worth:

Syracuse is making headlines on Selection Sunday for the second straight year. The only difference is that this year, they came out on the losing side.

Remember Syracuse (7-9), with its improbable tournament run, leapfrogging West Virginia (11-5), Marquette (10-6), and Georgetown (10-6) to a completely inflated 5 seed. That 5 seed put them on par with Pittsburgh, who at 10-6 finished 6th in the conference. 'Cuse, if you remember, had finished 9th. WV, MU, and GT, who finished 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively, were left on the outside wondering why they even play a regular season.

Of course, Syracuse played true to its regular season form, losing in the first round to Texas A&M.

PS. I am still absolutely fuming re: the Duke 6 seed. Why doesn't anyone on any of the networks take issue with that? What a disgrace.

cuz they are staffed by duke grads and don't rationalize logically.  How about we get some big name donors to donate tons of money to our college of communications.. get some grads set up to go to espn and the like.. swamp those networks and convert the heathen.. sound good?
