Clam Crowder

Providence up 9 against Nova at half

77ncaachamps

WVU up 11 at the Yum.

You gotta think that this Big East beat up isn't going to help MU.
Lower teams will mar the luster of the more highly ranked BE teams, leaving MU not only in a Conference No-Man's Land, but an NCAA tourney one as well.

If MU cannot distinguish itself from the pack, there's no way we're gonna get the invite.

Clam Crowder

Definitely not. This will be two wins in conference for PC if they pull it off. Louisville and Nova.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

Let me know when the WV lead gets to 19.  ;D

Well, the opportunities to distinguish are getting fewer. Hate to say it, but if we lose Saturday you can pencil in the NIT.

And who exactly will they fill the tournament dance card with? If you look at the projected RPI, there are 4 ACC teams more deserving than us, 4 SEC teams, and 2 PAC-10 teams. That's 10 bids from leagues that would be expected to place 15 teams. Plus there's three additional spots. The bubble this year is going to be ridiculously soft. We most likely won't get to 11-7, but if we did, that would be a lock. I didn't think so previously, but there just aren't enough good teams. If we go 10-8 we should be in. If we go 9-9, we'll still have a shot, simply because the rest of the "top" conferences suck. Even the Big Ten and Big 12 are only likely to send 6 apiece. The Big East could easily send 10-11 teams. Win or lose Saturday, we're still very much alive simply because the bubble is softer than a feather pillow.

Louisville wins at the end.  Providence upsets Nova.
