Spaniel with a Short Tail

Why didn't Buzz go right at him to get his fourth?  ?-(

mumike22

Same thing happened in the wisconsin game with leuer. Had 3 fouls with 15+ mins left and never got another one. I don't get it. You could see that when otule had 4 they gave the ball to nash just to get the 5th. Granted its otule but that's exactly what we needed to do with hansborough. The shifted to a zone but we still shoudlve gone at him. Don't get it

Hansbrough also managed his foul situation better than Crowder (and Otule but he sucks).  Crowder is the most important guy for us to have on the court.

It's harder to go at a guy when they are in a zone.

Obviously its harder to go at a guy in the zone - but this is the 2nd time in a close game where this situation has killed us. There was also a great opportunity for crowder to step in front and take a charge on the help side D but he was late

Please enlighten us as to Otule's contributions tonight?

He fought so hard for post position.  And he almost grabbed a rebound.

Otule got called for fouls when there were none, got hammered with no calls, ends up in foul trouble...changes how he plays. Maybe not one of his better nights but I love having him on the floor. If you are saying he sucked tonight, I would argue he was screwed by the refs. If you are saying he sucks in general, that is a whole other argument.

He's been OK at best.  I see much more out of Fulce in the limited time he gets though.  Especially on D, rebounding, and Offense.  I guess thats everything.

True.

Which is why I thought Buzz would find some sort of way to create that 4th on BH. Once we saw they would stay in zone the entire half we could have drawn up something out of the ordinary to get a whistle. The White Hope killed us.

KC_Warrior

Couldn't agree more.  Gotta get Hansbrough his 4th foul.

Why did we just stop attacking the basket?

So many places to point the finger on this one but I keep coming back to Buzz.  He's gotta know Hansbrough has four fouls and devise a plan to get him off the floor.

mumike22

I keep coming back to the coaching at half. I find it hard to believe this wasn't addressed at half but based on the result maybe it wasn't. 2nd time this has hurt us this year
