Anyone watching this game?  Tennessee is one of the oddest teams I can remember.  There's no reason they shouldn't be dominating the SEC.  Poor Jmay, he looks sad.

GoPanthers33

I'm watching.

Great game so far as its a 1 point game at the half!

Hope Uconn pulls it off to give the Big East another boost  :D

Mr. Nielsen

I haven't seen our boy play yet.  :D

No turnovers by Jeronne so far today.  Great job!
The portal is NOT closed.

Hamostradamus

No fouls either, he must have really improved his body control when he slashes through the lane.

Jerrone is 3-14 from the FT line this year and his assist to TO ratio for a good passer is brutal.  I think all the bowling he did last semester messed up his shot.

When one transfers, it is unusual that it works out.  RJax was an exception as I believe he was in a bad situation.  Marquette is not a bad situation.

You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

What makes you say that it's unusual for transferring to work out?  I don't believe that at all.

Christopherson is doing just fine, Khalil Bell went on to a fine college career, ODB did well at UNLV, Mason was about as good at LSU as he would have been here, even Mbakwe is thriving when he's actually playing basketball.  I don't know the situation throughout the NCAA, but that's enough right there to indicate to me that it works out more often than you implied.  Hopefully Jamil Wilson works out as well...

Good examples ... except for Mason.
Unless you think he would have regressed significantly had he stayed at MU.
He went from a starter averaged 12 pts/5.6 boards in 30+ mpg to a backup getting 3 pts/3 boards in 17 mpg.
Even if he'd eventually lost his starting spot to Wes Matthews (and remember, Chapman actually started ahead of Wes for much of his first year), I don't things would've sunk that low for Mason.

There are always exceptions.  Coaching changes are usually the exception.

You're right on Mason, my bad.   Point is, I wouldn't say transfers usually don't work out.  Just based on MU examples they're doing better than that.
