it seems to be based primarily on the negativity of a bunch of dudes without any girls around.  MSOE is on the list, but so is Michigan Tech, along with a bunch of other tech schools.  Those places tend to not have any chicks, and it seems the dudes take their frustrations out on ratemyprofessors.com (undoubtedly right before they hit the porn)
