I would love for it to be 2-2 but I'm gonna say 1-3. That still isn't terrible as we would still be .500 at 5-5 in BE play.

I say we take on of them at home on  hot shooting night. I expect all of the games to be competitive so 2-2 wouldn't surprise me in the least either.

With how this team shoots at times it can beat anyone on a given night!

NavinRJohnson

Odd to say I'll be happy with 1-3, but I will. 2-2 would be outstanding.

2-2 - Wins @ home and losses on the road.  We could steal one @ ND to go 3-1!

Syracuse is the only BE team MU has not beaten.  Now they have 1 loss and are rated #3.  If we win this, it will one of the greatest wins in MU BE history.

If MU goes 3 - 1 they will be ranked.  4 - 0 and they will be top 15.

The perfect situation would be ND still off guard coming off two consecutive losses, without a key starter. Cuse looked lost at times last night without Joseph, their leading scorer. Nova is always tough at the Pavillion. Lastly, If DJO can stop Walker at home that would make for an very winnable game. Am I right or wrong? To me Kemba looks like Rasario on Rutgers last year where the offense ran through him. DJO did a phenomenal job on Jones last year when he was the one man show on the Bulls. How good is Uconn if Kemba is shut down?

I believe Saturday is huge. Win that we could quite possibly go 3-1. Lose, then 2-2 will be a stretch. Many of these guys know what it's like to have to come on top in these tough gauntlets. All of these games should be 1-2 possession games. The question remains, can we finish?

It really feels like it could be any of those records. Still, I say 2-2, with wins at ND and home over UConn. Then my mind goes to momentum and I think if we win those two, we might finally get the monkey off our back and beat Syracuse. Then...

Or 0-4 is possible.

If the go 4 and 0, they will have beaten three top 7 teams in 8 days and improve to 8 and 2 in the BE.

I thought I was being conservative by saying top 15.

GoPanthers33

If we went 4-0, we would be 17-6 and have just won 4 straight over highly ranked teams. I think we would easily crack top 15 but maybe that's just me.

If anyone knocks off 4 teams like that in a row people WILL take notice.

TallTitan34

I realize it would be an incredible feat but these are the same voters who have Notre Dame at 16 and Georgetown still ranked.

Doris Burkes Thong

I think they beat both Cuse and UCONN at home and lose one of the two on the road. Just not sure which one - ND really seems to shoot it very well at home and Nova plays well in that bandbox. I think this team is a Top 20 team even though their overall record doesn't reflect it nor do the rankings. I think this team will really surprise some follks the next couple of weeks.

Had we beaten Lville, absolutely.

El Duderino

I'm hoping for at least 2-2 so it keeps more alive NCAA Tournament hopes.

It's just a bummer that DJO didn't have his jump shot going earlier in the season so that we could have won at least one of the Duke, Gonzaga, or Wisconsin games.

The offense has really been clicking and is better than i thought it could be, but to win 2 or 3 of these next four games, the defense and rebounding has to be solid so that the offense is enough to win games.

brewcity77

We need to go 2-2. If we go 1-3, we'll be sitting at 5-5, and probably need to win 6 of our last 8 to get into the Big Dance. That means we can't afford the bad loss that typically plagues this team.

Yes, the voters are dumb, but I think I agree with AnotherMU84. If we beat ND this Saturday, we'll probably be somewhere around 23-27. Taking down UConn and Syracuse next week should jump us into the 17-20 range. Taking down Villanova on the road after that (and the power of the streak overall) would give us another boost, putting us around 14-16, IMO. So it'll be close in my mind.

Of course, it will depend on margin of victory, what the teams around those spots do, and it would require these 4 teams to avoid many bad losses in the meantime (UConn @ Hall, ND vs. Cinci/@ DePaul/vs. Rutgers, Cuse vs. Hall/@USF, Nova @ PC.)

Edit: That being said, I think we take ND and UConn, lose by 4-5 to SU, and 7-8 to Nova.

leever

Trying to be realistic and not see this through my blue and gold glasses -
I'm thinking we pull out a close win at ND if DJO can frustrate Tyler's little brother some more, beat UCONN at home, lose to Villanova.  The SU game is the hardest for me.  Pitt just destroyr=ed the Syracuse zone while running up that 19-0 lead, but it turned into a close game anyway.  I think this is the year that we solve that whiners zone and beat the 'Cuse.  So, I'll go 3-1!

Milkshakes

Wow!  I guess I am a glass half empty kind of guy.  I would be really happy to be 1-3 in these four games.  I can not see getting a win at Villanova.  ND at home will be tough too.  UConn and Syracuse are among the very elite teams in the country.  I love the fight in our guys but I don't think they can stay with those two teams.  All that said I think we will compete in these games and I hope we steal one.

Glad to see Louisville took more wind out of my sails than others.  I really hope I am wrong!

TallTitan34

I wouldn't be surprised if we went 4-0 or 0-4.  So I'll go with 2-2 then factor in a loss it the final seconds of one game making it 1-3.

Please prove me wrong though!

Stretchdeltsig

I think MU will be 3-1.  I think Buzz and the players have the philosophy of taking one game at a time.  Study film, prepare a great plan and execute to win every game.  I think you have to approach each game that you expect to win.  We have the talent to win any game that we play.  Otule is playing well and will continue to play well against other bigs.  We have the talent.  Let's win them all!

dsfire

Hoping for 2-2 (or better, obviously), expecting 1-3, dreading 0-4.

If we go 1-3, we would be 5-5 and look at the remaining games after that stretch. I was looking it over last night and honestly think winning 6 of the last 8 games is really doable. The 4 home games are winnable and at SF and at SH are both winnable games as well. At Gtown and UConn will be the tough ones in that final stretch of 8 games.

muchamps

We will be 0-4. There's no chance with out an offensive threat inside and a big rebounder, that we can win. Other than a collapse by one of these teams we are 0-4 here, but yes it will CLOSE!!!
I believe Coach is going to continue playing Crowder ,Fulce and Otule at center, so, we won't win. Gardner will continue to lose confidence and real time game experience playing with the benchers in the final 2 mins. And he certainly will not be ready the next game, let alone next year. without meaningful playing time.
