Game Chat for Tonight?
« on: January 18, 2011, 08:02:30 PM »
For some reason I haven't been able to open the resources tab in here.  Is there a gameday chat for tonight's game?

Is the audio coming through on ESPNU? on ESPN3 I'm not getting any announcers. I think I like it for a game like this where we have ESPN's D-level talent. Interesting to hear the court sounds instead.

And that perk disappeared during the break.

On a different note, can we get a whistle at the bucket please?

http://www.muscoop.com/chat/flashchat.php

@drew: yeah, sound is coming through on ESPNU just fine.. unfortunately.  Some broad is doing the play by play.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Alright...sluggish start but coming around now.

They tried to pound it inside to Otule to start, but that didn't work too well.  They have gone small, turned up the defense, and have really pushed it hard.

And MU ends the first half on a 16-2 run after DePaul runs one of the worst looking traps I have ever seen.

Granted, it's Depaul, but I like the way we closed the half.  First time I can remember in a while that we've closed a half strong.

Yeah, and Otule went 0 for 4 real quick, all close bunny misses.  He also has one rebound.  I presume he is a nice kid and all, but he is not a BE center....period.

Depaul is terrible, just terrible and it will take years to get them back on track.  MU goes on a run and Depaul starts throwing up 25 footers, when they had some early success inside.

Blue looks the best he has since Reggie left.    Defensive intensity turned up over the last 6 minutes.

I think that with Chris, the one-eye thing really shows up in rebounding.   He says he has trouble with the hard pass from close.   What is a rebound but a rapid change of direction from up close?   3 fouls on their big guy is why they quit going inside as much.

Sitting one section from the DePaul cheerleaders. Their chants include "bas-ket-ball, bas-ket-ball", "D-Paul b-ball", and "ooohhh, ohhhh-ohhhh". After sitting in the wrong section, it's clear they don't teach creative writing or math down there.

I've got Cadougan with 3 assists that won't show up in the box score due to missed lay ups or wide open j's

Up 30 with 10 to play.  It would be nice to see Gardner, Jones and EWill get some minutes with the regulars.

Very happy to see us come out and never let up.

I hope we play hard and pour it on all year even if were up by 30 like we were tonight because I want no chance of blowing a big lead late again!

4-2 in the Big East!
