I'm sure some Florida alumni cringe when he opens his mouth. Everything is street trash-talking.

oh gosh, I saw his after-game speech, it was awful... "all we care bout are the W's and Rings baby.... it don't matter what seed we are, when it comes down to the day its me against you, what you got"   .... does he forget he is on national TV... and he comes from a well-to-do background???

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

They are unabashed and he speaks from the heart.

Kinda like Al  McGuire who might not be the most politcally correct or coach speak at times.

I liked his dance too.

LastWarrior

I still have a hard time believing that he is Yannick Noah's son.  I really, really hope he doesn't end up on my favorite NBA team.  The kid while at times showing some emotion, does not always seem to be the most motivated kid on the block.

doesn't matter how unabashed hs is and how much he speaks from the heart, every time he opens his mouth he embarrasses himself and his school.

as both a Gator and Warrior alum, I love Noah. about 10 percent of these kids can speak in public. Did you ever hear Aaron Hutchins talk? or Crawford. Yikes.

Noah is the type of player every single team wants in every sport. David Eckstein type. Just like Shane Battier was too.  Noah has NEVER embarrassed the Gator Nation. Chomp Chomp.

If he's a sign of Gator Nation education, good luck to him and his school.

come on man, you think ANY of these kids go to class? I took 2 different coaching classes as a Senior at MU when all my requirements were filled and the entire team was in my class: Cordell Henry, Greg Clausen, on and on and on.

I bet Ousmane can't even spell his name. The pot shouldn't call the kettle black....There is NO student in student-athelete

not to mention the fact that MU alum Rick Majerus cant pronounce a simple word like OFF-Fense....

ecompt

yes, I do think some student-athletes go to school. And I also think you shouldn't be slandering Ousmane like that.

And a really dumb one at that.   How many languages can you speak?  Ooze speaks 3.

Consider that a warning, btw.

drunkenmidget

a warning what does that mean? you are gonna beat me up behind the woodshed?

warn ecompt, he said/did the same thing to Noah I did to Barro.

Tommy Brice for Coach

Lets play nice children.

drunkenmidget, mu_hilltopper is a moderator which I am pretty sure he has the power to ban you. And using an MU player is a poor example of a student-athlete. MU has a traditionally strong graduation rate among its student-athletes. Using Noah is a good example of a student-athlete who doesn't go to class. Last time I checked, Florida's student-athletes weren't well known for the student part of the title.

For the record, using UW would be a poor example too. They graduate 70% of their basketball team. That's pretty decent.

Knight Commission

marquette's graduation rate has been poor---poor----under Crean. Granted many reasons for that ---(and you can use the cincy excuse) but its not like it was under Deane. wonder why?

mu_hilltopper

Man, I hate that definition.  We have guys who transfer or go to the NBA early (or DQ themselves (Mort)).

Suffice it to say, every kid who stays at MU for the duration gets an education and a degree.
