I was at the game today and realize that MU blew a huge lead and made some dumb mistakes, but . . .

How about giving Louisville some credit?  Knowles shot lights out at the end and they were all contested. They finished the game making 8 (I think) straight shots, most of which were contested. If they miss just one we likely put it away. Kudos to them for getting hot at the right time and putting the pressure on.

Now, let's beat Depaul and get to 4-2.

Mr. Nielsen

Those were some tough 3's that he hit. It wasn't like he was wide open.

Everytime L'ville makes a three in their home games, that PA guy has a cool way of saying the players name that really fires up the crowd and the players feed off of that.
If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

It's true that since we are MU fans we focus on what we did wrong (which was plenty) but Louisville had to do their part perfectly.  They missed only two shots down the stretch, and in both cases their big man got the rebound, got fouled and hit both free throws.  Absolutely everything had to go wrong, and it did.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

No, I will give credit where it is due--not to Louisville, but to our meltdown. We made Preston and Louisville look like studs.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Was rethinking the ending of that game all day yesteday.  Literally EVERYTHING in that last 5 minutes had to go right for them to win.  However, we had to supply about 90% of it for them.  Let's just kick DePaul's ass on Tuesday and get rolling again.

those rebounds were killers for sure.

They got every rebound the last 6 minutes, offensive and defensive (9-0)

Is that right? We didn't get a single rebound in the last six minutes of the game? Wow.

And, they hit their last 8 shots? Wow.

Sebastian Junger could write a page-turner called "Perfect Meltdown."

I was at the game as well. Can't add much more than a few reamblings to the analysis that has already been presented on the board.

Just sat there stunned after it happened. It was one of the craziest things I ever saw. Was texting with my daughter and she was worried about a 'ville run at halftime. I told her not to worry because there was absolutely no life in 'ville's play at all. Wasn't till MU changed the way they played that any spark of hope ignited.

While I am obviously upset with certain players and coach, it is clear MU is a very good team. Buzz has got to figure out how to get his teams to close out with big leads, but MU definitely has the talent to play with and beat these teams.

The Cardinal fans we ran into the rest of the day were almost apologetic about our loss. Very classy.

The guy sitting next to me at the game was pretty hard on his team the whole game. Kept yelling for certain players heading to the bench to just keep walking. He left in disgust with 6 minutes left.  Probably won't do that again.

Louisville played great in the last 6 minutes, that is true.  But it wouldn't have mattered either way if Marquette had continued playing their game instead of going into some foreign gameplan that they have no experience with and no comfort with.

It was like a 20-4 run, right?  If Marquette attacks the rim and gets just 2 extra buckets in those 6 minutes, and Louisville can't catch up.
