Oh, so now you've changed the rules.  I see how it is. :)

Vander had 2 fouls most of the first half, came into the game in the second half and promptly picked up another.

If you are truly surprised that Williams and Gardner didn't get more minutes, then you don't really understand basketball.

what ever happened to Buzz's 8.5 man rotation?

I don't recall saying that, and I don't recall Buzz saying that.

Today we had 7 with 1 man stuck on the bench due to foul trouble.

Assuming someone of note said 8.5, they were wrong by .5...  Whoopie?

I'm just confused on how nomorebuycks gets to spew his crap all over this board but a middle finger gets you banned?

Starting five.

Junior
Vander
Fulce

.5 - DG
to call Fulce 1 is generous.  I like what he brings so I wish he got more time, but he simply doesn't.

Blowing an 11 point late lead against DePaul last year to lose by 1?

Blowing a 20 point lead to lose against Washington in the NCAA last year.

Don't worry, you'll complete forget about this game in 2 to 3 weeks and then call the next bad loss "Most sickening, soul-crushing loss in MU history"

If you forgot about washington in 3 weeks you are not the fan I am.  I never call out people's fandom but I am now.

ding ding ding

I remember being down in New Orleans back on 2003.

Todays game is an afterthought compared to that.

You heard it folks.  No loss should make you angry/upset/sad unless it is in the fianl 4.  So go smoke a doubie.

Obviously not what I said.

I said that this was not the 'soul crushing loss' that everyone is making it out to be.

We have had MANY tough losses, and to me this one hurt a lot, but it was not even close to the worst.

Well you can have that opinion. But I don't see how the ff was more 'soul crushing'.  Not even close.
That game: We lost to a better team
THis game: worst team

that game: we had already gone on a magical run further than anyone thought
this game: the loss could end up being the difference in us going to the NIT

that game: we were never really in it.
this game: we had an 18 point lead with 5:45 left!!!!

You can say that "No loss should make you angry/upset/sad unless it is in the fianl 4. " is obviously not waht you said but it sure seems that way to me.

Fine buddy.  Please explain to me what would have to happen for a loss to be soul crusshing and not "an afterthought compared to that. (FF loss)"

So it is an 'afterthought' and it 'hurt a lot.'  don't get it.

Read the rules and grow up. Normally I delete threats, but I'll leave yours up here.

Listen, I'm a little messed up in the head.  I can't help it.  Really don't mock me.  Really.

you went too far by banning me for a middle finger post.  But I can't forgive anymore.  I'll seriously post virus links on this website for the next 2 years.

This guy sounds like a total nut job.  It's just a loss, dude.  Get over it.  I traced this loser's IP address.  I think it's coming from St. Louis or Clayton, in Missouri.

Michigan State in tourney was an awful loss.

Stanford was heart wrenching.

Blowing the game against 'Cuse and letting them take the game in O.T.  in '09 was a worse loss and AT HOME.

Even NC State last year.  Up by eleven at home at half to just fall apart in the second half was bad.

At USF.

At DePaul last year (as early mentioned)

The game today wasn't pretty, I get that.  But the team still played a hell of a game on the road.  Should have one.  Buzz, staff and players are kicking themselves.  They will have to stand up after this or else they can let it beat them more than today.  Hopefully they can keep the fire for the entire game next time in the same situation.

We missed a few easy lay-ins close which would have cut the Louisville run off before it started.  Louisville simply woke up and maybe we felt the 5am shoot around.  But we still played pretty well offensively.  It's hard for me to judge the defense when for most of the game Louisville sucked.  Oh well.  On to the Packer game.  Better luck next time Marquette.  Keep grinding an we shall overcome.

You could argue we crapped the bed again Missouri in Buzz's first year as well....I don't necessarily agree but I know some people who feel that way because we were leading that game as well.

You could argue it, as you can argue anything. You'd be dead wrong, though.

Everyone comes out to whine and bitch after a tough loss, but no one sticks around to pay compliments when we win.
I never understood that. JSOnline is like that.
If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

They would be dead wrong, not me.  I don't believe it but going back to the threads here two years ago, there are those that believe we crapped the bed.

There is no argument that we crapped the bed mightily today and against Washington, DePaul, Florida State, etc.  We have seen this a lot in the last few years.

Thinking about it for two minutes off the top of my head ...

3 years ago against providence

Bucknell this year

3 road BE victories in 8 days last year (still A BE record).

An epic win needs to occur against a team of some level of quality IMHO. I'd say Providence, Bucknell, St Johns, Cincinnati and Seton Hardly don't qualify as teams of quality. Notre Dame when Novak was playing?
