Everyone comes out to whine and bitch after a tough loss, but no one sticks around to pay compliments when we win.

When was the last time we had an "Epic" win? Came back from 18 points down with 5 minutes to go?

Crickets.

Most sickening, soul-crushing loss in MU history.

It's a joke.

Tough losses are hard fought games that you come up on the short end of the stick of.  This was an effin' travesty.  To call this a tough loss does a disservice to all tough losses everywhere.

Don't know what planet you're from, but this isn't a TOUGH loss.  It's an epic debacle.  Some negativity is probably justified.

Serious question: what do you expect after possibly the worst loss in team history?

Your criticism is fair on a normal day after a normal loss.  This was not that.

Most sickening, soul-crushing loss in MU history.

Blowing an 11 point late lead against DePaul last year to lose by 1?

Blowing a 20 point lead to lose against Washington in the NCAA last year.

Don't worry, you'll complete forget about this game in 2 to 3 weeks and then call the next bad loss "Most sickening, soul-crushing loss in MU history"

ding ding ding

I remember being down in New Orleans back on 2003.

Todays game is an afterthought compared to that.

ErickJD08

Here here... Tough loss is a back and forth game where you don't end up on top.  Having your team up by 18 and then poop themselves is unexplainable.

as a "new, negative poster" I just wanted to throw out a point that no one else has mentioned in their post-game freak outs.  outside of cadougan, we had 19 bench minutes, and the team was absolutely wiped.  poor coaching.

I've seen this posted several times now...we never had a 20 point lead on Washington last year.  The largest lead was 15 points with 13 minutes and change left.  We've seen this debacle before

It depends how you judge things.  People will rank this as an epic loss because it was a game we had won.  We never had the Final Four game won, thus the huge difference.

We had the Washington game won in the NCAAs last year and crapped the bed.

We majorly crapped the bed today.

You could argue we crapped the bed again Missouri in Buzz's first year as well....I don't necessarily agree but I know some people who feel that way because we were leading that game as well.

Thinking about it for two minutes off the top of my head ...

3 years ago against providence

Bucknell this year

3 road BE victories in 8 days last year (still A BE record).

Listen up, police officer.  I know you're upset about the loss, but there's no need to take out your anger on your fellow Marquette fans.

Honestly, do you really think that a little ASCii art middle finger is that much worse than Hards' snide, sarcastic "waving" comment?

Seriously, stop pulling out your power trip on fellow Marquette fans.

I'm really good with computers and it's REALLY easy for me to switch IP addresses on the fly.  And guess what, I can make about 16 new gmail accounts in 5 minutes.

So go ahead and ban me again, you child.  Maybe I'll track your IP address, figure out who you are, and look up your criminal record and post it here on MUScoop.  Should we play that game?

So in five minutes we have redefined this game from "Most sickening, soul-crushing loss in MU history" to one of the top three losses of the last two years.  nice!

Jeez, does everyone here have the memory retention of a goldfish?  Anyone remember that we played ND on Monday or was that too forgotten as ancient history?

outside of cadougan.  6 players does not make a basketball team

Oh, so now you've changed the rules.  I see how it is. :)

Vander had 2 fouls most of the first half, came into the game in the second half and promptly picked up another.

If you are truly surprised that Williams and Gardner didn't get more minutes, then you don't really understand basketball.

Personally, a single conference game that didn't decide whether or not we make the tourney (yet!) will never be as bad as getting embarrassed on the national stage by Kansas.

And to be perfectly frank, I don't think anyone else should either. :)
