The Young Alumni Association is having a viewing party at The Garage tomorrow morning for the Louisville game.

We'll have the following specials:
$3 taps of Lakefront beers and Spotted Cow
$2 Tall Boys
$5 Bloody Mess
$5 Biscuits and Gravy
$5 French Toast

Since the game is a 10am tip and The Garage normally opens at 10, we've arranged for them to start letting MU fans in at 9:45am.

Hope to see you there!

The garage also has GREAT breakfast food. We go there for brunch once in a while after Mass at St. Hedwigs.

I recommend the omelettes.
The "average fan" is an idiot.

Their eggs benedict is also a solid choice for the breakfast.

Has anyone been to Center Court for a game? Apparently it's the "Official Away Game Destination."

The couple times I've been there after Bucks games I had a good time.

Center Court is decent, I watched day one of the NCAAs there last year and it was quality. But as far as the "Official Away Game Destination"...well, let's just say I stopped trying to go there for away games after the night we played Gonzaga. They weren't even open. Some "Official Destination"  :-\

Excuse my ignorance.... but The Garage is right next to/connected to/the same thing as the Hi Hat Lounge correct?

Yeah, it's essentially the back bar. Hi-hat's on the corner, Garage is just a touch further north on Arlington, but you can't usually use the street entrance for Garage, you either have to enter through Hi-hat or through the side entrance (which is marked pretty well).

With all the negativity going on on the board thought I'd post a positive experience.  Me and 3 friends went to The Garage for breakfast/the game.  We had a good time.  Nice place, good food, nice alumni there.  Signed up for the young alumni e-mail list (I graduate in May).  I would definitely do it again for some good breakfast and MU game.

No actually you just reminded me- they played our fight song after the game was over.  A couple dozen of us all sat there in silence as they played it a few times over for some dumb ass reason.  I think they were hoping for someone to do something violent.  A moment I tried to pretend never happened....

The reason they play it at the end of the game is because the band will play it (win or lose) at the BC after an MU game.  I agree that it can seem like salt being rubbed in the wounds after a loss.  We will talk to them about it for the future.  Thanks for coming and we're (MUYAA) glad to seem you came.  It was a pretty good crowd for an early morning game.

To add to the band thing ::ahem:: if you're going to follow how the band plays @ the end of games, for wins you should play a recording of "Championship" and for losses we used to play "Come Sail Away" though I have no idea what they're playing now when we lose :(

Also, just out of curiosity, what Ring Out recording are y'all using?  hopefully the one from the 2007 pep band CD :)

JustinLewisFanClubPres

To be honest, I'm really not sure what recording we use.  The school forwarded us two versions per our request.
