Amazing Stat from Pitt Game

Awful rebounding should not be the reason Marquette has to "go small" against bigger, tougher competition.

Until we have strong, skilled big men, we will be forever the underdog against teams such as Pittsburgh and its strong, skilled big men.

I have said this many times, Chris is not a BE center. He just is not. Great kid, plays his heart out. The skill set just is just not there.

Practice...pre-BE games...summer work.  If they aren't performing on the BE stage, pull 'em.

Fine, pull them if they don't get it done in a game, but give them a chance in real games. Practice, pre-BE games and summer work are not the same as a BEast game. Crowder said something about how much more physical than the pre-conference games, and that he liked it. Some guys will thrive on that change of pace right away, others won't. But put them in a BE game to find out. And them pull them if they can't keep up.

Sorry Sultan, I do not agree. Where else are you going to get game experience against BEast talent, but in games?

These are our two Centers, give them game minutes and let them learn. We probably lose just as much playing Crowder and Fulce in the post out of position. If we are going to be clobbered inside, then let it happen with Otule/Gardner, rather than with Crowder/Fulce. Look at how thin Fulce is--he will be eaten alive by BEast power players. No knock on him, just his size.

Chris has the skills.  But, having one eye certainly affects his efectiveness in a fast-paced game.  Its obvious that he struggles to locate the ball as that split second makes a huge difference.  As such, he is a role player.
