The ESPNU representation of the Golden Eagle Snake is pretty horrifying.  But this, might be the winner.

I agree--we need to go back to Warriors--but in today's overly PC society, that will not happen.

But wait: Fla State Seminoles; Washington Redskins; Cleveland Indians, etc.

Statsheet has created a beta fan site for every DI school with that robot logo. The site is 100% generated by robot reporting including smart text in the articles.  Thus the logo.  Some very good stuff in there on stats...some other stuff doesn't make too much sense as it is generated by a machine...of course, that is true for many of us on MU Scoop as well  ;D

Added an article link on this service.

After all, the highest compliment our culture can pay a group is to name a sports team after them.  Many enlightened Indian tribes have said they they are honored by the practice.  But its not "PC" - go figure.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

When I saw the title I thought you were going to comment on the new Starbucks logo.

Man, if the administration would have gone with my suggestion of "Marquette Robo-Parakeets" instead of Golden Eagles, that logo would be spot on!

Don't forget Fighting Irish.

How about if we were the Jumpin' Jesuits? That would kind of go with the Providence Friars?

That would have been the perfect mascot.  It gives the SoJ a bigger arena for getting their name out there and understanding their mission.  It's self-referential so as not to offend anyone, and the mascot costume is easy.
The only problem would be it may be considered sexist.  I wouldn't think so, but there are people out there...

I did write in Jumpin' Jesuits back in the old voting days.

Here's the ESPNU Logo:

Is that George Jetson's robot?

Perhaps we can get the administration to change to the "War Eagles"   You guys could have some fun designing that mascot logo

Looks like Wall-E with a mohawk.
