Good choice.  Not a tough choice, but a good one.

I don't recall, but did we recruit Tucker (and were we close to landing him?)?

If we did recruit Tucker, looking at that list you have two (Nick Fazekas has us as one of his final two - damn foot!) of the ESPN All Americans close to picking MU.

if we had Fazekas, we would have won the BE.... and crushed Bucky.

Tucker was recruited, and MU was a finalist(along with BC, Valpo and Illinois State).  He even visited, but seemed to sour on MU after that, and has mentioned in the past that he didn't like the campus, and wanted to go to a place that felt like a big time university, which UW did.  He had also been recruited by Purdue and Illinois, but I don't think he actually had offers from them.

Fazekas not coming had less to do with his foot than it did his fear that he was going to get stuck behind Steve Novak for 3 years.

I'm pretty sure it came down to Tucker and Joe Chapman for that schollie and Chappy committed first.   Fazekas may not have wanted to sit behind Novak but he didn't want to sit period the first year, so the foot surgery shouldn't be discounted.
