Can we do the same....and not just for students? (Clarify: I mean this more in relation of MU fans selling tickets to UW fans, this is kind of different since its the Rose Bowl...but still)

totally classless move by the Herald.

extremely irresponsible as well.

Tickets are worth what people are willing to pay for them... and I would be willing to bet that 95% of the tickets these kids are selling will end up in Badger fan's hands.

DJO's Pump Fake

I would expect nothing less from the People's Republic of Madison.

These student tickets sold out in 20 minutes, I dont think you should be buying any tickets if your goal is to only resell them for profit. This is the type of crap that drives up concert tickets as well.

I don't disagree, but obviously there is a market.  The Badger ticket office is to blame here, not opportunistic students.

A simple fix would have been that students had to show up in Pasedena with their student ID to claim the tickets.  Boom, fixed.

While I completely understand why the writer is upset, BUT...

He/she posts all those names yet leaves the Byline as "Opinion"

That is weak.  At least have the stones to leave your name when calling out others.

As always, Deadspin commnets, right on point.

"Students embracing capitalist principles by selling tickets for exorbitant prices: Treasonous dickheads.

Fat cats embracing capitalist principles by making 5,800 student tickets available for a school with an enrollment of 40,000+: Intelligent businesspeople."

"A round trip plane ticket to LA from Madison is going to set you back $700. A hotel room is going to set you back a minimum of $100 a night (we will divide the 3 nights by 3-4 people sharing a room.) An "inexpensive ticket" would be $150. Toss in the cost of eating in LA, drinking in LA and laser mustache removal for the ladies of Wisconsin.

The economic reality of this would cost a college student well over $1000.

Boof*ckinghoo."

They're just selling shoes (with a free ticket inside one).  :P
