Ray LaMontagne-God Willing and the Creek Don't Rise.

Dude just has the voice that just sticks with you.

I know this clip is from a previous album, but this song is amazing

All Day, Girl Talk

The last song is the best... tribute to John Lennon a.k.a. The Man

Thanks.  I'm going to have bad dreams tonight at Raynor library.

It's a nice little promo.  There's even footage of the Y-Not II bar (Van Buren and Lyon in Milwaukee)

If you look back in the beer thread you'll notice my recent post saying how trippy and scarily strange those bars actually are...  just adding to the nightmares

That's my favorite so far too.  Speaking of which...

Although I suspect at the end of the year it'll be Kanye's new album.

I also downloaded a few live concerts by Explosions in the Sky that have really been enjoyable (not really albums).  Finally, I am totally late to the party on this, but Pandora turned me onto Built to Spill.  Their live album has been on heavy rotation.

Finally, I really appreciate the OP starting this thread.   "Best of" lists are typically how I discover new music each year.

edit:  added EITS and BTS

Sugar - If you're loving Explosions in the Sky, you should definitely give a band called This Will Destroy You a listen.  They're lesser known, but in my opinion, they're better than EITS.

another album for the softees that I really liked was Winter of Mixed Drinks by Frightened Rabbit
