a sign of things to come??

not sure I want to see a majority of fans wearing these (myself included).... also mentions the leg wraps dw3 popularized

those are all well and good for the little guards or power forwards that are in the best shape of anyone... however, does anyone really want to see someone like Gray or Harangody in a form fitting jersey.  sounds like the proverbial 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound sack look.

Fugly.

A couple years back, Puma decided to equip its soccer teams with form-fitting jerseys to improve performance, because what perfectly conditioned athlete doesn't look good and play well in a form fitting jersey?

Well, it was great, but jersey sales plummeted because most people who buy jerseys are neither perfectly conditioned athletes nor look good in a form fitting jersey.

Are we battling Syracuse for any top recruits?  If so, we should show them those jerseys as it will only help us.

unfortunately, these are the new Nike jerseys.. since we are (currently) a nike school, I imagine that we are (currently) slotted to switch to them next season as well.  I added "currently" because there has been rumors of switching to Converse in order to leverage/support the Wade brand.

Can D-Wade bring any more value to MU?

We are a Nike school, but we also are not a "Nike" school.

Certain teams that have contracts to wear Nike uniforms had to wear the new (not the pics you saw above) Nike designed jerseys this year. These are the jerseys you see that have shoulder "rectangle" on the team's uniform. For example, the UNC white home jersey has the blue "recatangle", likewise the road red Wisconsin jersey with the white "rectangle" on it.

I don't know the nature of Marquette's contract with Nike, but they were't required to switch to these (IMHO, terrible) uniforms. I hope that would be the case with these new even more terrible uniforms.

Florida, Ohio St, Arizona and Syracuse had language in their Nike contracts that they would guinea pig these new jerseys in the conference tournament. The school's have the option to wear them in the NCAA's if they'd like to.

When I see things like this, I lose faith in the future of humanity. ::)

Exactly who saw these and said, you know these are exactly what basketball players need to perform better?

Thankfully, the management of Nike is just leading a shoe/clothing company and not trying to solve the health care crisis, etc.  At least we have the really smart people in government! ;D

Heaven help us!

I sure hope MU doesn't get these jerseys, I have a feeling these jerseys will go out like UNC's warmups with hoods (their warmups had hoods, and looked like a fleece in 2005 when they won it all)

Converse is owned by Nike. So the switch to Brand Wade can happen.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but FWIW I believe Wisconsin is an Adidas school.

You are absolutely correct.

You are correct, UW is an Addidas school. I should have corrected myself as I didn't mean to imply they were a Nike school, but rather that they have a similar style jersey that Addidas modified off of the Nike jersey. Similarly, Cincy (another Addidas school) wore the same type of jersey (http://static.flickr.com/115/290700215_7b37157e14_o.jpg) this year. Under Armour as well had a modified version for Auburn (http://static.flickr.com/117/290736508_0f31c57ec3.jpg?v=0). In spite of who ever made it, it's not a good look.

WashDCWarrior

I always liked the wide shouldered jerseys that Cinci among others used to wear.  That would really be the only Cinci thing I've ever liked.  ;)
