Non- Conference Schedule

Ok so I was just updating the 76-77 wiki page off of my new T-shirt and I noticed the schedule we played. Granted we were independent at the time but still can you imagine playing that kinda schedule today. Just for fun I compared who we played with todays rankings

We played:
#3 Wisconsin (twice)
#6 Florida
#12 Louisville
#20 Notre Dame
#28 Xavier
#29 Creighton
#33 Georgia Tech
#35 Air Force
#36 Virginia Tech

On top of that we also played Clemson who was ranked in the top 25 at one point.

Now by Conference
Big East- 4 different teams (Louiville, Cinci, Depaul, ND)
Big Ten- 5 different teams (Minn, Penn St, Wisconsin, Mich)
ACC- 3 difft teams (GT, VT, Clemson)
SEC- 2 different teams (South Carolina, Florida)

Talk about a damn near impossible schedule these days...

Have to remember we were an independant back then so scheduling was odd compared to today.
