Thought this crowd might be interested in this deal. Only 7 hours left.

Longtime lurker on the board, but I ran across this and thought I should post it. (Mods, feel free to move it or delete it)

The deal is good until 10 CST on 11/30.  I figure $2 is worth the Insider Membership as there have been articles in the past I wished I could read, but am too cheap to buy it at regular price. I make no warranty or veracity on the deal, but I did purchase it for myself.

ESPN The Magazine 1-year subscription (26 issues) + ESPN Insider Membership $2

Yup - me too.  Never used "daily steals" before.  Nonetheless, seemed worth a try for $2.

Thanks guys... I just put in an order.  Been looking for the right deal on this... this was a price I could work with.
The portal is NOT closed.

For anyone doing this...after the first year on Insider you'll need to cancel manually to avoid an automatic charge...

QuoteTo get an Insider account you need to provide a valid CC. At the end of every year on Insider, you'll get an email telling you they are auto renewing your Insider membership for $40. You have to call them to cancel it, or to tell them you are still subscribing to the magazine. There's no way to set it up automatically. It's kind of a pain -- one you have to go through if you jump on these cheap ESPN mag subscriptions. My current subscription goes through 2014, but I still have to call them every year to tell them not to charge me....

Also, once you get the magazine, you can activate insider here:

I always use a "temporary" credit card for these things .. that way, you set the expiration date on the card for a few months, and they can't charge you to auto-re-subscribe.

Nice deal.

Anybody get a magazine in the mail yet?  I've seen nothing yet.

(though I will add, my GF got a different magazine from this site, and she's already received 2 months worth)

No but I canceled my subscription nearly 2 months ago and have since received 4 more issues.

I don't think they're all that on top of things in Bristol.

Fair enough - then I'll expect my first magazine in the middle of the next hoops season :)

Hey hey - we didn't get scammed!

If you go here:
https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/ES/ESN/login_multimag_noCAPTCHA.jsp?cds_page_id=84082&cds_mag_code=ESN&id=1299200432000&lsid=10621849549019545&vid=11

And fill in your address information, it shows the first magazine will come on Apr 4, and will let you sign up for insider. Sweet.
