So just to summerize. Marquette didn't offer Josh Gasser because they didn't think he was good enough to warrent an offer. UW felt the same way, but unforeseen circumstances (Diamond Taylor going to prison and Vander decommiting) forced them to turn to their "B" list. The entire Big East and Big Ten (except Northwestern) felt the same way and according to Mark Miller, Josh would be matriculating at the likes of an ASU or a Northern Iowa had fate not intervened.

And anyone who doesn't wonder out loud how Buzz could miss on this local, surefire phenom is nothing more than a pink unicornin', fluffy cloudin', sugar coatin' June Cleaver.

Might also be wise for folks to wait a while before annointing the guy the next coming of Jerry West and John Stockton and Chris Mullins.  Prarie View is not exactly the litmus test.  Best of luck to Jsoh Gasser, but can he duplicate that performance against Northwestern.......?

StillAWarrior

Mods might as well go ahead and lock this one down now, too.  I can't imagine it's going anywhere productive.

He who has no name is to be referred to as the Bronze Beast of Bloomington from now on.  Didn't you get the message? ;D

How can I, the thread is locked.

Some of you (not you) I have on ignore and can't read the questions anyway.

I'm going to make a public plea here.  Without naming names (because there are several), these never ending debates between a select few users are getting tiresome.

So, all I ask is, before you click post in the future, ask yourself the question:
"Is this post adding something useful or entertaining to the Marquette Basketball community, or am I just rehashing something, and trying to prove myself right?"

I know we like to allow free speech around here, and we don't expect that people will always add something useful or entertaining.  Hell, there's a lot of useless commentary around here.  But when the useless commentary takes up a majority of the board, and actually detracts from real basketball conversation (hint, the season has started boys!), you've gone too far.

No please, leave your egos as the door and try to enjoy the basketball chatter.

You're absolutely correct, and I apologize for my contribution to the useless commentary around here.
I'll do my best - though probably no succeed all the time - to avoid it in the future.

rocky_warrior

I probably should have said useless bickering, as in the big picture all of this is useless commentary :)

A few minor corrections. Or "B Cubed" as he's known on the west coast.

If I am going to promote this moniker I should probably bother to get it right.

His name is best heard on ESPN. There is a saucy, piquant sting from hearing it there...

I'll include myself as one of the guilty. Pausing and thinking a little will no doubt reduce my number of posts - much to the benefit of the board, I'm sure.

I too must admit to being drug into the Chicos drivel.  A plea to the board...please dont quote him so that those of us that have him on ignore dont have to read the stupidity.

Also, a question to the more technically inclined posters, does anyone know how to block someone from PM,ing you?  He keeps PM,ing me...more than slightly scary and pathetic.

Excellent post.

Who gives a f*** about Josh Gasser?  Especially when we have had such solid contributions from our own newcomers.

This is priceless. We need to champion this fact more often. I love that name, too. Diamond. How fitting.

Great post, but why is it so important not to make it stand out in its own thread when we have a whole thread dedicated to a guy we didn't even recruit. Do we really need two? I stopped reading that thread for the very same reason you put in this post, but I ended up opening this thread thinking it was something I might care about.

I've sent you one PM in the last 6 months (so you're lying...again...when you say I keep PM,ing you as to imply I am doing this multiple times) after the thread was locked because you denied saying http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=22194.msg243001#msg243001

You were lying, as usual, and I addressed that with you.  You most certainly said every one of those things and then some.  Search function on this board is your friend.  Nice try liar....still can't wait to hear how you played college sports, as you claimed here on this board.  Or are you counting intramurals?  LOL

The other thread was locked without anyone really answering Chicos's question.
