Finally cleared to play.  One mention of Marquette:

"I worked so hard to get to this point, I was so excited to play last season after what happened at Marquette," said Mbakwe, who was cleared just in time to go with the Gophers on a three-day trip to Vancouver in August. "I haven't really played in over two years. I'm so hungry. I can't wait to play. I feel like it's my freshman year all over again."

Not sure if he just means Crean leaving, transferring, sitting out, etc.  Or if there is more to the story.  Always thought there may be with how abruptly he left.

What is he, 30 years old by now?

Maybe he was excited to play because he left MU very late in the process and was still able to find a place to play.

Or he was saying that he was excited to play because "what happened at Marquette" was that he got injured.

Oh, when you rehabbed your knee on the school dime for months, then abruptly left with no reason to go play in Miami.  That what you're referencing Trevor?

This was a miss.

Mbakwe really could have been a factor for us. Thought he had a nice talent to fit in with the Amigos, Hayward, and the Freshmen Guards. Of course, circumstances changed all that. Still, he will be solid for the Gophers.

Talent? - yes.
Makeup? - doesn't look like it.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Saw big trev at a apple orchard this fall, there's no doubt he's a big dude...all of 6'7. I'd also like to add that he was flanked by a gal that was not to hard to look at. Good work young fella....now have fun being a gopher.

PuertoRicanNightmare

Maybe he's talking about Crean burning his redshirt simply to give ESPN a story line for our late season game against Pitt.
