If Lebryan Nash commits to Baylor, could it have an affect on Quincy Miller's decision? Maybe this might sway our way, especially with Louisville overloaded.

MU_Iceman

If there's any truth to the rumor that Bello and Miller want to play together next year, then I'd say it's a safe bet that we're out seeing as how they're announcing together and, according to this report, Bello doesn't consider MU one of his finalists...

Oh well, we all knew Quincy was a stretch...I just hope to God he doesn't end up in L'ville too...

Or we do want him there as it would make Hood more likely to come.

I'd say it could, but maybe not in the way you are hoping.

A player like Miller knows he will only be at school for one year, and is not worried one bit about playing time. He isn't worried about fighting for playing time, he just wants the best players around him. So, I'd say Nash committing to Baylor might make Miller more likely to choose them.

The fact that Bello is down to Baylor and Louisville...and the same had been written about Quincy Miller earlier this week...just don't see any way MU gets Miller.  I'd be very surprised if Bello and Miller DON'T go to the same school...and my guess is Baylor.  My take..ESPN is trying to add some drama to the selection to increase viewership....and thereby included Oklahoma and MU as possibilities for Miller..

Ya, Baylor is the common denominator here.  They could be trying to act like the Heat with a big 3.

I thought we were a monolith against one and done?

Does anybody know how many open scholarships Baylor has? This maybe a long shot but Q-Mill coming to Marquette would put us in the Driver's Seat for Championship.

Doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Thats what their board was saying the other day. Of course now that they are out of it for him, he is dirty and asking for money. I don't see any way he doesn't choose Baylor, which is fine by me.

I think MU is completely out of it for Miller, but it is only a positive to be mentioned as a finalist for a player of his caliber. It would be cool if at the announcement, there was a Marquette hat sitting in front of him.

I don't expect anyone committing to Marquette today, but how dope would it be if Buzz pulls another TADA outta no where and BAM we get both Bello and Miller?!

Not gonna happen, I know, but it'd be RE-DIC if it did.

I predict the Baylor sweep.

Agreed, seems like they are the common denominator...

texaswarrior74

There's stink all over the Baylor program...a number of top local HS coaches won't let their kids even talk to them because of the way Drew recruits and looking out for their kids futures. The rest of the Big 12 coaches have been screaming "foul" for a while....supposedly Drew has very "deep pockets..."

Bello and Miller have been saying all along that they are a "package" and Baylor is the only common school....ding ...ding...ding...if this is how you get them I am hoping that we are not the winners in this one.

Have you ever been to Waco?.....not the place you'd expect to see so many top recruits "wanting" to play ball.....VERY conservative Southern Baptist school in a VERY conservative little town....not going to say more here.

From what I'm hearing the NCAA is about to be all over them again....and repeat offenders, not named Kentucky, usually don't have much luck when they are investigated twice in such a short time.

I second all of the above thoughts, though I do not have direct ties to Houston basketball coaches.  Waco is almost the LAST place an African American would want to live..I'll be more blunt.  It is old school Texas..and extremely conservative..and I mean that in the fanatical way.  It is a basically an armpit..NOTHING to do, unles syou want to get in your car and drive 1.5 hours to Austin or Dallas (which are pretty great!)

It wasn't all that long ago Baylor couldn't even play non-league games.

Someone help me out.  I hear about commits affecting other's decisions to help MU.  Who is the last major recruit to pick MU because another kid went to a school that happen to be on the other kid's list?

I'm willing to settle for a MU hat on the show.
