Interestingly, Favre pretty much side-stepped it in an interview.  He said "I'm not getting into that.  I'm just focusing on the Jets."  (or something similar).  I find it interesting that he didn't basically deny the entire thing.

And until the NFL issued a statement that they are looking into it, ESPN said nothing.  Surprise, surprise...

The rumors have been out there for about 3 weeks, I'm surprised it didn't die.  But now that the photos are out there, well that erected the story back up in the news cycle.

Its been longer than that. Deadspin broke the story back in August when Favre "unretired".
