While I appreciate the hard work these guys have done for the program ..... this will be a rather underwhelming Senior Night celebration, eh?

.......enter the 30th anniversary national champs

Hey, don't knock Craig.  He's going to have the record for best shooting percentage of all time.

Nukem2

Yes, he is perfect from the field and from the line.  Deserves more ;) PT!

Luckily they all will have a Marquette education, and I wish them the best of luck beyond their Marquette Basketball days  ;)

But yes...

I know the celebration will bring a tear from my eye. Of course, that might be from fatigue since we're again traveling nine hours to get to the game.

(resisting urge to make a smart @$$ comment about Dameon Mason, Brandon Bell, Carlton Christian & James Matthews...resisting...resisting...resisting)

Phew that was close.  I just hope people stick around for the ceremony, Kinsella & Lott have put in just as much time as the super stars we've waved goodbye to, they deserve the full house sticking around.

I hope that this phrase was nothing more than sarcasm.

No sarcasm...I would call Deiner & Novak Super Stars...Rob Jackson to a lesser extent.

I understand now. I thought you were referring to Mason, Christian, Bell, etc. I totally agree with your point.

HoopDreams

As much as I understand what each player contributes to a team...I will have no problem saying goodbye to Jamil "I don't do a whole" Lott.

A good blog from Rosiak about the Seniors today.  Both are obviously disappointed in their careers at MU, but still continue to do what they can to help the team.

Also, some good comments from Crean
QuoteAs far as Kinsella and Lott, Crean acknowledged it's difficult not being able to play his two scholarship seniors more consistently.

"You're conscious of it and you try to respect the fact that it's tougher for them," he said. "You try to give them the opportunities when you can. Most teams we're playing against have got seniors that are helping lead their teams.

"These guys have done an excellent job in practice. Has it affected us in the games? I don't know; it's made everybody have to step it up even that much more. But I'm proud of them. It's not like they haven't contributed. It's not like they haven't worked, that's for sure."

I've got to say, Rosiak is kicking arse with that blog. One entry is better than the next. That said, I wish he would have asked Crean how he felt about the real reason it's such a thin senior class -- the yearly exodus from The Al!

I'm sure that question would go over well. How would you respond if your boss asked about a mistake you made 2 years ago? Should be done and dusted and in the past, yeah?
