Talented player, but with California in the mix, it will probably tough to get him out of the bay area.

Looks like he's got a good handle and great court vision.

Not sure about this post. What pool has shrunk, and how so?

I'm curious at just how many California kids have ever played at Marquette.

I can't think of one off hand.

I'd say great handle for 6'6"...really like what I see..of course it is a highlight video...but he shows a TON of skill.  His cross over/shake and bake..is awesome for a 6'6" kid in High school.  Read some of the comments people on YouTube posted..thinking he's got to be a Top 50 kid...maybe was a bit under the radar..late bloomer?  Hard to see him leaving Bay Area- with Cal in the mix....but maybe, just maybe..Buzz can reel him in.

For comparison..look at the highlight video of Wisconsin recruit:  Jarrod Uthoff.

Something tells me it's because he likes our jerseys. ;)

Check out the link: http://babuljak.com/blog/education/the-big-game/

Castro Valley jerseys are pretty much Marquette ones. Nice color scheme and looking very impressively similar to Marquette's!

If Oliver Purnell jumped ship to go to DePaul, why the hell would anyone want to go to Clemson?

Juan Anderson just got an offer from Texas

He is really picking up steam on the recruiting trail - I hope we are serious contenders.

Agreed. I love how the video slows down at one point as an alley-oop pass goes up like its going to be the dunk of the year, and Uthoff misses the dunk. How does a 6'8 guy missing a dunk make a highlight video??

Right??!  And...I think they slow-mo'd that part too..for emphasis??  Anyway you look at it...Juan Anderson and Ulthoff are of a very similar build..the skill sets shown in the highlight videos are a stark contrast.  Would LOVE if MU could land this kid.

Poneman doesn't always make the best highlight videos I wouldn't look much into it. Uthoff is going to be a good player there is no doubt about that.

Dodds just posted over on the other board that Marquette is Anderson's final 4 along with Oregon, Cal and Arizona State. He would be a very good get from the west coast no less.

Anderson
Shaw
Young

One can hope.
