Help!  Let me start out by admitting, I AM NOT COMPUTER LITERATE!!!   The problem:

On 3 differing occasions, 4/11, 5/28 and now this morning, my computer apparently sent out spam to everyone in my address book.  I changed my password this morning after realizing what happened.  Question -  how is this happening, what is the solution, does the fact that I'm on aol have any relevance?  Thanking all of you computer Gods and Goddesses in advance!

You have a virus.

go download AVG antivirus (its free, google it), install, and run the program.

should take care of it.

Big Papi

Download the 2 following programs (they are free):  Malwarebytes anti-maleware and Super-antispyware.  Both can be found on cnet.com

Once you run those programs and have a clean pc, change your password again.  I had this problem about 3 months ago and know of a lot of others who had the same problem so don't feel bad.  I also took it one step further.  I have an ameritech account that goes through yahoo.  The virus was using all of my contacts that were saved through my yahoo page so I deleted all of my contacts there.  I imagine yours is doing the same through aol.  Whatever contacts are being saved on the aol website are the ones that are receiving the spam emails.  Good luck.
