One of the most interesting reads every late spring/early summer is the grid detailing the physical testing results and measurements of the NBA draft prospects who are invited to the pre-draft workout in Chicago.

Absolutely. The athletic transformation Lazar went through at MU was stunning. He was slow, and not a great leaper when he got here. And he leaves as one of the best athletes in the draft class. Very impressive testament to the program and his work ethic.

Lazar is such a hard worker.  Even if he doesn't get drafted (and I really think he will), he will be able to work his way on to a roster just like Wes did for the Jazz. 

I can't say it enough that Lazar is my favorite Marquette player ever (in my humble 15 or so years as a competent fan).  I want more than anything for him to make a roster (preferably a team I like lol).  Can't wait to see when his name gets called this year.  His departure is bittersweet, but I am confident we will all still be able to see him playing ball at the pro level for years to come.

I found it interesting that Rosiak talks about his agility and ability to defend SG's at the next level.  Lazar is a small forward.  I thought that was obvious.

The question is-----what position will Lazar play in the NBA-----he's not going to be a #4 or #5----and the only way he'll fit at #2 or #3 is if he can develop a pullup jump shot, which is not part of his style (at least not at MU) -----at MU he could pop them from 12-15 feet, but not off the move------when he took it to the hoop he went all the way to finish. a perimeter player in the NBA absolutely has to have a good pullup jump shot.

Another thing he needs to develop is the ability to go left-----went to his right over 90% of the time at MU.

Just saying, but both the starting SF's in the NBA Finals are 6'7", one is 235 and one is 260, all according to their ESPN.com profile pages.

Not saying Zar can't defend them, just saying that those are some big agile dudes.

I like how Lazar had the 2nd best time in the agility drill next to John Wall, but Chad Ford's Top 100 listing for him still talks about how weak he is moving laterally.

Gotta have some reason why he wasn't on the list at all until now, I guess.
