Show'em Zar!  Nice to see him still hitting from his sweet spot at the top of the key.

Did anyone else think it looked like he's slimmed down a bit?

It'll be interesting to see what his measurements are, and his strength/speed numbers.

Yes, I think he slimmed down.

He appeared to only miss one shot with all the scouts sitting in the first row.

If only he had the ball handling/dribbling skills.  Just wishing him the best, cause he deserves it.

Too bad they zoomed in on the other shots. Head some bricks, but hope it was just me hearing it wrong. That's the thing that most fans don't understand when a player rises or falls in a draft. It hard to select a guy early when you watch him miss 5 jumpshots in a row, or hard to pass on a guy nailing 3 after 3. Scouts see a lot more than us on some things.

The NBA is a funny league.  They expect you to show up ready to play at the NBA level, yet someone's gonna take the Orton guy from Kentucky in the first round solely on potential.  If NBA rosters can be anywhere from 13 to 15 players.  A lot of teams keep to 13 players because they are near or over the salary cap, and don't want to pay the luxury tax.

If I was an NBA GM, I'd pass on paying Larry Hughes 14 million a year, and save some cash for those last two spots.  Then every year I'd bring in a Wes Matthews or Lazar and give them some time to see if they developed.  (In Matthews case, time wasn't really needed).  Lazar made some nice progress in his MU years, I bet that given some time, he'd develop his ballhandling skills to the level of a NBA guard.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
