Tobi Oyedeji a 6'7" 205 lb power forward from Bellaire HS in Houston died while driving home after dropping off a friend at about 6am. He was a 4 star signing who was firmly in the A&M camp for a long time. I don't think he even took any other visits. It is NOT suspected that they will find the incident was linked to either liquor or drugs. He was an honor student and was a model student.

I believe we offered but it never went very far.

I saw a few Bellaire games this year (they were top ranked in TX), and Tobi was very good. This is a very saddening story.

I agree that MU seemed to be out of the running pretty quickly in his recruitment, but I had had the feeling that Buzz was very big on him.  An inside player from Buzz's old stomping grounds who, as you said was a model student, this seems to be Buzz's kind of guy.  It's particularly tough to see the good guys have their lives cut short.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

It's sad to see a boy die so young. Best to his family.
