5 years 13 million. He will be 73 when this is done. Not trying to sound like a jerk, but I dont know if his health can keep him doing this for long. Most of his problems are stress related and coaching is stressful. Questionable decision by UCONN

🏀

UCONN really has no other choice.

However, Calhoun will always have an excuse for poor teams.

TallTitan34

I hope the NCAA investigation destroys him well before this contract is up.

chapman

I'm sure he will take another month or two off this season and upon his return will publicly call out his team for lack of effort after every loss.

Great recruiter, but one of the most overrated coaches in America------and as he gets older the odds are
he'll regress even more!

Oh, the irony.    But that doesn't make you wrong.

Really? A good UConn program is good for the BE. The conference needs more "UConns" and less "DePauls."

Success of the BE at any cost, NCAA rules be damned?  No thanks.

This year Calhoun only has one top 100 recruit and everyone over there is disapointed. Poor Uconn. But he also picked up three guys with size and upside.
I want to know how he does it?He must have a great staff..

Well, I have no respect for the ncaa and their so called "investigations." Calipari anchors my feelings. Throw in the Reggie Bush and USC football program ordeal as well. The organization is a joke.

CAINMUTINY

The man has won two, count em two national championships and we are calling him overrated? What a joke.

NCMUFan

Count us fortunate to have done pretty good against UCONN.  Syracuse is another story.  Go Big East!

That was then ----this is now. Since MU has been in the BE he has undeachieved his talent bigtime----this past season was a good example-----good recruiter, and manages them (the personalities) well getting them to play hard----but his players are void of fundamentals and scheme-----check UCONN'S TOs.

Looks like someone clearly has no idea what he is talking about. All is forgiven.

So you think Calhoun did a good job this past season with all that talent-----well God bless you!

Dyson, Walker, Robinson, Edwards, Oriakhi were as talented as any 5 players on any one team in the BE----
and where did the finish?

Mr. Nielsen

The years (5) are just to show recruits that Calhoun will be UCONN's coach for year to come.

But at some point, the recruits are going to be looking at a 70 year old man with highly publicized health issues.  Not exactly confidence inspiring.
