Yes, I realize this is not the 'badger board', but did we have any interest in this guy?

seems to not be that big of a loss for UW, so I assume not...

The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

GGGG

Actually, Bo did cool on him because he's not very good.

Potrykus hinting something bad about Vander Blue in the comments section.  It's one thing having jackass posts from from anonymous fans.  I'm surprised that the UW@Madison blogger isn't more tight-lipped about hating on recruits that they lost.  It doesn't reflect well on their university.  I suppose some people never learn.

Well, he hinted something bad about Vander and MU fans went nuts.  When he clarified his comments, he said that Vander's academic progress had stalled, people close to him were worried about that, and he's now back on track.  He would hardly be the first high school student to have to deal with such issues.

It's unprofessional and embarassing for a journalist to get himself involved in a message board pissing match between rival fans. It's even worse when he claims to have some "inside info" on Vander that "MU fans wouldn't want to hear"...and then he later reveals this insider info to be that Vander didn't have very good grades but he got them up and - wait 'til you hear this - is now in good academic standing! <spit-take> That's right! He is applying himself more and doing better in school as a result! Oh, the humanity!

I read the whole thread and was amazed as well that the Journal writer was soooo quick and adament in defending what he did.  "Me thinks the lady doth protest too much".
I like his shot at Crean about page 3.  A nice try at trying to change the subject.  "I know you MU fans hate the way we at the Journal worship Bo but at least your coach is better than Crean"
Thanks Jeff we don't need you, go back to worshipping Bo

I like the commenter that routinely calls out Potrykus for being a shill...that guy is hilarious.

Interesting ...

Friend (Hodge's father) echoed the sentiments expressed by former Badger recruit Vander Blue as he relayed his shock at some of the comments regarding Hodges made by Badger fans on Internet message boards. It should be absolutely clear now, if it wasn't before, that recruits and their families read what fans have to say about their sons and daughters. Some find it hard to ignore. In this case, the negativity affected Hodges.

The simple lesson that we need to remember is that potential recruits and their families read message boards.   Post accordingly.

Potrykus all but outted his source on a message board of all places.  Who lives in Milwaukee that is close to Vander and has talked about Vander before?

Are we dealing with a member of Team Maymon?

Silky

Portytkus didn't even write the article, wasn't there at the  meeting, yet he claims to know who the source was.  Portrykus all but claims he talked to a relative of Vander in Milwaukee.  You can figure out who that was.  I do not understand why he would out his source in a message board.

For those of us who do not live in WI, to whom are you referring?

Thanks.
