Marquette hosted its annual basketball banquet last night at The Al. With more than 500 in attendance a series of awards were handed out, punctuated by Lazar Hayward being named the team's MVP for the season.  Surely the highlight of the evening was this excellent video recapping highlights from last season.

Marquette hosted its annual basketball banquet last night at The Al...a series of awards were handed out...

That's a lot of awards.  It almost looks like my kids' banquets where everyone gets some sort of award.  Except that three players (by my count) didn't receive an award.  Let the speculation begin (or should I say "continue").

That's a great, great video and a fantastic tribute to a truly memorable season.

On a side note, I also think the video underscores just how hideous the gold jerseys are. The whites are great (underrated), the navy blues are solid and, of course, I love the baby blues.

Finally had time to watch this today. Brilliant video, really great reminder of what a great season we had. Considering that most of us would have probably been happy with an NIT run in the preseason, what this team did was incredible. A beautiful reminder of the great season we just had, and plenty of glimpses at the bright future to come.

this video gives me goosbumps.  its just sad to see a team like that lose on a last second shot when if one thing went different they would of gone onto the sweet 16 no doubt.  and had a chance to upset wvu

Great video!  All four of the uniforms are sweet.  I think the gold and the baby blue are the best.
