McCallum's kid signs with his dad at Detroit.  They are pretty loaded next year.  Butler will have a challenge in the Horizon.

Zeigler, another 4 star kid, signs with his dad at Central Michigan.

Pretty cool in many ways

And Ziggy signed up with his sister. But, that's a different deal.

No more taking out the trash for either of these kids.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I had the good fortune to see McCallum play a half dozen times over the past two years.  He is the real deal and is going to be fun to watch match up with Butler over the coming years.

Go Warriors.

So we're talking two Horizon teams in the tournament, even without an expansion.

Maybe now, with their commits, each will have to listen to dad and take out garbage evven more often...

during the last year or two,, the boys had the luxury of cutting off any contact with their dads by holding up a hand to them and warning them to not exceed NCAA excessive coach/recruit contact rules --lol

Before Detroit (Dicky V's old job), McCallum had little success with the UH job, and the papers blamed his poor recruiting here. Ray is a nice guy, and its good to see his recruiting profile improve with his "home grown " talent
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Cue the whining of the coach of some Big Ten team that didn't even go .500 against respectable teams.

Hate to back the Big Ten... but the Big Ten showed up to the tournament way more than the Big East did... or do we have amnesia and forgetting that last month?

From a conference standpoint, NCAA Tournament success is vastly overrated. I mean, the Big East lost 8 games while the Horizon League went 5-1. Does that mean UWM is in a better conference than MU?

Don't try and spin this to make it seem like the Big East wasn't a bit over-rated this year.

Georgetown(3) lost to Ohio(14)
Villanova(2) lost to St. Marys(10)... should have lost to Robert Morris(15)
Notre Dame lost to ODU
Marquette lost to Washington
Louisville lost to Cal

Lets face it, the Big East looked AWFUL in the tournament, why does it deserve 8 teams?

Do I think the Big Ten is better than the Big East... no... but lets face it, they got it done in the 2010 tournament unlike the Big East

upper echelon ball was over-rated as a whole this year.  a mid major beat the two best teams in the Big 12, blah blah blah. (and this isnt even getting into the fact that tourney results are a terrible representation of conference strength)  the top 2 teams vs other conferences top two teams are never what made the BE the best conference in the country anyway. its the gauntlet and that each year the 5-7 teams in the BE are almost always better than what you can find in any other conference.

How much longer before Riley Crean "earns" a schollie and starting spot on his old man's team. Rumor has it Riley won multiple awards competing at summer camps.

I wonder if Hayward's kid is going to the IU camp now that it's such a short drive to Bloomington.

And he's done it in different places!  He used to do it in Milwaukee, and now he's doing it again in Indiana!
Wherever he goes he excels. ::)

Is that the same rumor that says that someone hung banners from those camps in his bedroom?

The Big East tournament, maybe. The NCAA tournament, I doubt it.

I mean this makes perfect sense since Kentucky won with him.

I don't believe that DeMarcus' father is ready to be Division I head coach, so I anticipate that he would have made a lot of coaching blunders during the tournament.
