says he will still visit Marquette and Colorade.  With Bzdelick leaving Colorade hopefully this means he is down to only Loserville and MU.

He would be a great get, if we do sign one more he would be my pick.

Where there's a visit there's hope.  I saw some speculation that Florida was trying to get in the race, but if they didn't get a visit, I would guess they were too late to the party.

By the way, Gorgui, did you know that Louisville has two 6'10" players committed for next year?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

MU_Iceman

Any word on when this visit will take place?

Canadian Dimes

something tells me it  was this week?

I believe this is the correct spelling. If so, how in the wooorld?

Can some computer geek check the incoming flight logs to MKE and passenger lists?

What sort of reports are there on this guy?  Seems like he needs to grow into his frame, much like Mbao

I think that some of that has happened.  When he first came to the states, he was listed around 200 pounds, now he's listed at 220 or 225.  6'9" height.

While we are correcting the last name of their coach, maybe the original poster could get Colorado spelled correctly.  Unless there is a new state called Colorade (probably borders Gatorade).

We all get that Hayward pays little or no attention to spelling, punctuation, capitalization and the like. Sometimes a put down referring to it can be funny. But you've beaten that dead horse beyond recognition. Why not talk about content and give the other stuff a rest?

some dumb louisville fan is writing on Dieng's wall telling him to go there. Im tempted to tell him to come to Marquette, but I find it classless

Haha, I'm really not too sure what the rules are but I think this might be against them. I might have heard something about trying to recruit or tell a kid to go somewhere on a networking site is against the rules. Again, I'm not too sure. Definitely sounds a little shady. ha.

thats what I was thinking, that it seemed shady like whose not saying that thats a coach posing as a fan. you can never know

As a fan of the school, you are considered a "booster".  Boosters are prohibited from contact with potential recruits, especially in any attempts to convince the recruit to go to your school.

This seems a little absurd to me. Whats to say that a MU or Pitt fan doesn't go on FB and pretend he/she is a UL fan trying to convince the kid to go there, if UL could get in trouble for it?

Facebook is pretty much an open forum. I realize that jobs have been lost over some people's lack of judgement, but unless you can verify/prove that the person is trying to "recruit" the player to the university, AND that the person is a faculty member/coach/booster of the program, I don't really see much of a case....Then again, Im not an attorney and I don't work for the NCAA.

First off, the NCAA doesn't claim to operate based on reason or logic.

Second, it's not exactly a vacate the season major violation, but it still can be a violation.  It probably takes more than one wall post, but organizing a fan page or something like that would be a violation.

Here's one of the first things I found looking for a source: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-10218928-71.html

Not exactly.  You have to give cash.

A "representative of the institution's athletics interests" is an individual who is known (or who should have been known) by a member of the institution's executive or athletics administration to:
(a) Have participated in or to be a member of an agency or organization, including corporate entities (e.g., apparel and equipment companies),  promoting the institution's intercollegiate athletics program;  (Revised: 1/14/02)
(b) Have made financial contributions to the athletics department or to an athletics booster organization of that institution;
(c) Be assisting or to have been requested (by the athletics department staff) to assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes;
(d) Be assisting or to have assisted in providing benefits to enrolled student-athletes or their families; or
(e) Have been involved otherwise in promoting the institution's athletics program.

1) Shift+Prnt Scrn
2) Paste
3) Send to NCAA

Hey, it's Louisville, it's almost worth the effort.

Section (e) is so open ended, they really don't need (a) thru (d).  Clearly, a facebook post could fit into that gaping hole of a catch all.  What (e) is really about could be summed up as: "Anything we decide is a violation, but didn't anticipate that you'd come up with."

Yeah, I'm pissed that a Marquette fan didn't think of it first too.
