Im actually kinda nervous for Lazar- his hops and athleticism havent exactly been the best part of his game

Maybe hes just doing it to have fun, but maybe he is trying to dispell some of the commoon thought that hes not athletic? I just havent seen anything out of him to think he could win a dunk contest

Well .. looks like Lazar is 8th of 8 after the 1st round.

I was pretty impressed with the caliber of all of these kids dunks in the first round - better than some we see in the NBA slam dunk.  Zar's was decent, not an embarassment of any sort -and he knew going down there he certainly wouldn't be a favorite.  Just a nice event for him to experience, and in a very pedestrian way, be a part of Final Four Weekend.

Not to sound like a jerk, and i know that this event is for fun, but anyone who has seen lazar play knows that he does not belong in this competition. There are probably 100 more qualified seniors. Lazar probably even knew that, but I suppose if he is invited he cannot decline

Just saw his second dunk, he got a good score because of the creativity. Well thought out by Lazar, im glad hes smart enough to know how to impress a bit

Not embarassing at all, but no where near the other guys...I don't know anything about the other guys and I somehow got around to Youtubing Gerard Anderson... and wowzers.  [update] ouch...so much for that!

I agree wholeheartedly, and the only way he was gonna do anything was to pull something out of his sleeve, because he wasn't gonna get anything with his athleticism.

On the other hand, though, the commentators are giving Lazar a lot of love though in regards to his overall game
