i noticed the logo "spalding" on the arm standard at each site last night. looked at the regional sites last year and the support beam looks the same. also noticed how tight the rims were at each site, it was either string music or ratteled out on jumpers.? how often does ncaa change the standards/rims/backboards for the differant sites,or do they use the same ones each year.remember, these are football sites with portable floors.was these the same rims at last years regionals?

Each site has to have the rims tested prior to games being played at the location.

Is there really different rims throughout the ncaa? Why not make them all the same? Sitting on the floor at the DePaul game made it clear to me that those rims were dreadful, if anyone can remember.

I'd assume the rims are all standard in the tournament. The main point of the testing is probably to test the bounce in the springs.
