"Old" Warrior Schedules - on the wiki
« on: February 21, 2007, 12:14:10 PM »
Thanks to Sir Lawrence for cleaning out his desk and making use of his digital camera, we've now got authentic (and slightly marked up) images of the Marquette Warrior schedule cards from 1984-1989 (excluding 1988).

I've scaled down the images for viewing on the Wiki, but if you click on them you can get a larger image.  If someone feels motivated the team roster and schedule/results could now be added to a wiki table too.

See here:

If anybody has more of these, they'd be great to archive!

7 of 13 players on the 87-88 team were freshman?  How is that possible?

Four seniors the previous year and Muller (fr), Rice (soph) transferred. I imagine these schedules would bring back nightmares for Dukiet.

I wore out everyone of these schedules and there wasn't any reason to keep them at the time. I used to love the ND and DePaul games to finish off the season.

The '89 Classic field would be ridiculously good today (or the last few years).

Wisconsin vs Gonzaga
MU vs UNC Wilmington

While I'm uploading things that have been sent to me, SonofPianoman sent me this pic (back in December) of something you don't see very often - the three amigos all on the bench at the same time.

I'm guessing they played the China National team in Milwaukee not the other way around.

The Chinese National team was like Athletes in Action or the Marathon team.   They would tour the country and take on college teams and count as the exhibition game.    These schedules are my four years.   Seeing that ND loss on the 84-5 schedule brought back some bad memories.   Stupid freakin' David Rivers.
