Worst call of the game....

Jimmy Butler plays perfect defense the guy misses and the whistle comes in after he misses...people who say officiating doesn't matter or biased are high.

A late call like that is even worse when there was seemingly no foul to speak of...

Yup and what about the jump ball.  One guy wrapped his arms around lazar from behind.  How is that not a foul????

I like the travel on Jimmy as he passed the ball before throwing it away to...would of given us the ball and a two point lead instead Washington gets its back and scores.

Yea, but those two missed layups by Cubillan and Acker hurt just as bad. Plus the stretch where Marquette turned it over twice. Or when Marquette missed 3 rebounds in a row and then Washington scored. Or when Hayward took a 3 with 2 minutes left instead of looking for a better shot.

Hose Bagged....every call in the last 1 minute of the game went the way of UW..every one.  Travel against Butler..pivot foot didn't move..late whistle for Pondexter, Zar rebound..hacked..friend of mine who isn't even a fan texted me on that call and said that was a b.s. call -  should have been a foul.

We can't take anything away from UWashington...they played a hell of a game and are most definitely underseeded.  We can never hold on to leads, and that is our downfall.

However, we most definitely can blame the refs for jobbing us and giving UW more opportunities to secure the win.

I dont know if any of u got to see the Georgetown game (it was on here) but the refs were just as unforgiving to them as they were to us.  They called ticky tack garbage on them too.  Three big east teams already down in the first day.  Is playing in a physical league hurting our chances come toruney time?

FU Sultan of South Wayne. When refs suck they cost the game. This site is too full of namby pamby sentiment like yours. On one play Butler was bloodied and they had to remove him from the game and yet the other team got the foul call.

The refs would have sucked even if Marquette had pulled this one out.  I just wish we would have been allowed to play the same brand of pressure basketball that UW did.  We tried in the first half, and everyone in our starting 5 was tagged with 3 fouls apiece for essentially the same thing that was going on at the other end.

Then we played like kitten cats in the second half while UW was clawing, scratching, hand checking, shoving, eye-poking, and everything in between.  And they STILL ended up with less team fouls in the second half than we did.

What game where u watching.....all sports are games of inches and when the bad call meter favors Washington 6 to 0 that is at least 4 points and the difference in winning and losing the game.  

Certainly shot ourselves in the foot too.

6 to 1.  We got a break when Fulce touched a ball in the first half and it was called off on UW. Other than that... Acker harassed the entire second half without so much as a foul. Late whistles for Pondexter. Fantom Travels. Garbage "moving screen" on Lazar. Yeah, not sure we got our fair shake tonight.

I've been adding value to this board for years you 4-post, piss ant walk on.  I watched every second of all but about two games since the start of the BE season...it is the same thing every time this team loses.  Everyone wants to point fingers.

There were a lot of close calls that went both ways.  We remember the ones where we were "screwed," not the ones where we benefited.  

I mean seriously...who can blame the refs when we blew a 15 point second-half lead???  Unbelievable...
