The point was to not get upset about the loss and remember where this team came from.  I knew MU was going to lose and I wanted everyone to remember the preseason expectations, before flying off the deep end.  If it helps you to take out your aggression on me go ahead.  I do support them always and I cheered throughout the entire game, including the last 4 minutes.  BTW, ill go head to head with your "fandom" any day of the week.
Still don't buy it.  So, you were reflecting back on what a great success the season has been with 4 minutes to go in the game when it was tied?  You gave up and you know it and have been trying to backtrack on it.

Since you knew MU was going to lose at that point you may want to apply those skills to other things like lottery tickets and horse racing as well....when you do, please post here...I'll take some of that action.  Sure, I accept your "fandom" challenge.

Rocco

Perhaps if you knew as much about this years squad as you think you do, you would have known with 4 minutes left that it was over too.  I guess some of us have a better grasp of the team than others.  As for the lottery and horse racing remark, I havent followed those things for the past 25 years.  But I am a very profitable gambler and no I wont share any knowledge, especially with someone as jaded as you.  I cleaned up on MU this year, paid for my season tickets many times over, perhaps if you watched with your head instead of your heart, you could profit from being a fan too.

I am worth eleventy seven million dollars, and have a supermodel wife.  I posted it on a message board, so it's true!

I didn't say any of that.  I simply said I made money betting on MU games.  So what?  So you disbelieve everything you read on a message board, because it is obviously not true?  Then why are you here?

It's now comical.  You honestly believe that you have a sixth sense in knowing whether or not MU is going to win or lose based on a tie score with 4 minutes to go.  Do you just turn the TV off then?  Did that sense accurately kick in against FSU, WVU, Nova (3 times), Georgetown, Providence, DePaul, UConn, Cincy, SJU, SHU and ND?  Congrats on your gambling profits...impressive.  I don't need to profit from being an MU fan.

Fact remains that you publically bailed on the team when the going-got-tough with the score tied and 4 minutes to go....perhaps you can set-up a kiosk at the BC for people to visit during the last official's timeout to gauge wheter or not they want to stick around or beat the traffic...you could charge people to increase your profits.

I publically bailed?  Now that is comical.  You dont have a "feel" for how a game is going?  I predicted over a month ago that MU would lose at the buzzer in the first round of the tournament.  You can believe what you want, but I know what is true and what isn't.  As for the games you rattled off, those are precisely the reason why I knew we were going to lose.  The fact is I am a Marquette fan, season ticket holder, and I am not ashamed that they lost or that I predicted it.  Keep responding though, it is funny, how upset you get.  Perhaps we could meet at a bar and discuss MU basketball over a drink?  Let me know.

Did you just ask me out?  I'll pretend I didn't read that.

So, let's understand this correctly....this continues to evolve....not only does your crystal ball/sixth sense tell you the outcome of MU games with 4 minutes to go....but it can also look one month into the future...now we're getting somewhere.  From approximately Februrary 18 you correctly predicted the outcome of all 7 of those games AND knew MU would lose in the first round of the NCAA at the buzzer.  Truly remarkable.

The government would pay you handsomely for these talents yet you're wasting your time sitting in an arena in Milwaukee (granted your seats have been paid for) gambling on MU basketball....you're leaving money on the table my man.

Rocco

Did I ask you out? LOL Something like that.(I love the cowards behind the keyboard:)

Any who, this is going nowhere, you obviously don't get it. This might come as a shock, but some people can guess, or predict, based on trends, tendencies, players, coaches, venues, referees, flow of the game, etc.....the outcome of a game before or during that said game.  I didn't know it was some strange premise?  I can't imigane the feeling of going into every game blind, not having a clue as to what might happen.  Then again that maybe why you are so upset, I have this ability and you do not.  Thats ok Im sure you are good at a lot of things.  I really don't want to argue with you anymore, so have a nice day and GO MU!!! 210 days to Midnight Madness!!!

Ah, so now I'm a coward because I wouldn't agree to grab a drink with an anonymous gambling man from Milwaukee that calls himself Rocco.

You proclaimed to have a "sense" that gives you an uncanny ability to determine the outcome of MU games with 100% certainty....and predict events one month in the future.....none of the other variables you now mention appeared to be necessary....those are reserved for us lay people to use to form our own foresight/opinions...see, I do get it.

The fact is, and always will be, that you bailed on the team and threw in the towel with 4 minutes to go....that's called pessimism.

I think "argue" is too harsh to describe our little dialogue but, yes, I am done here also.  On to next season.

I can't bother to read through this whole chain, I get the gist of it with just a quick skim. Rocco, you aren't a Marquette fan. You come on here with 4 minutes to go, call it a day when there was still time for the guys to turn it around, and then go nyah nyah nyah, I told you so, I called this one months ago.

STFU. Don't come back next season. I don't need to hear your predictions about how much we're going to suck.

First of all watch your mouth.  Second of all I didn't do any nyah nyah nyah, I was as pissed as anyone we lost yesterday, just because I knew it was coming doesn't mean I was any less upset.  I will be here next season just like I have been for the previous 25 seasons, deal with it.

96warrior

Emotions got the better of me, still feeling really low about last night. Will apologize for the tone but not the content. I really don't see how you can possibly not expect me to interpret your remarks as "I told you so" and "I knew this was coming", which is really not at all what I'm in the mood to hear.

Rocco

That we can agree on. GO MU! (man, it is taking a lot of effort to muster up any enthusiasm)
