Maybe that is why they started the season off so poorly, they were working on the piece!

Ah, come on, fellas. If our guys did this, we'd love it.

That said, I hope for UW's sake that they play basketball better than they dance.

/sigh.  I wish I didn't have to see this video every time UW played a new opponent this season ;)  It's not a great video.  No doubt.  But I think you need to consider the context in which it's used.

That's the video they play at home games whenever we're blowing the doors off the other team.  They throw it up on the video screens about when Romar is subbing in the walk-on players.  The crowd is already cheering like crazy for the walk-on kids, applauding the starters who heading to the bench, and then this ridiculous video comes on.  It's definitely tongue in cheek.

So, yeah.  I think it's a pretty lame video either way, but it's about 100 times worse when taken out of context.  It makes a little more sense at the end of a major home blowout.  Fortunately for us, that's been about a dozen times this year :)

let's not throw stones... pretty sure our holiday videos are equally cheesy. remember, kids go to these games too, not just drunk college students and forty-something bloggers like us! :-)

Our holiday videos popped into my mind too.

I think this is all good natured ribbing. But come on...this video just begs to be teased!

I immediately like Washington more because of that video.  Always good to see teams that can have fun together off the court.

I agree totally.  I enjoyed the video just as much as I enjoy our Holiday pieces.

It's no more cheesy than our Christmas videos.  However, with the Christmas videos, there was always the chance they would dress up Acker as one of Santa elves.

I don't see any issues with the video - it's no different than any other team like MU who dies these funny videos - I'm sur ethe UW video is a lot more meaningful and amusing to the UW fans, as our videos are more entertaining to us.

That said, let's dance right through them and win this game!

GO MARQUETTE!!
