Post-game presser .. mad?

I was listening to Homer after the game, they broadcast Buzz's postgame press conference..

At the very end, I think Rosiak asked a question, I couldn't hear it .. but Buzz said he was really mad about something, that he could make Mike Broeker and his wife mad if he said anything ..  he wasn't being funny, he sounded really pissed.

What was the topic?

I wondered as well.  I am guessing that maybe it was the play when i think djo drove and they called a foul that was non-shooting.  not sure as i was in and out watching at work.

Rosiak asked Buzz about the play with DJO, where he was fouled and the refs were going to give him 2 shots. Refs discussed it and said he was passing and not shooting.

Buzz was not happy.

The question was about whether Buzz thought DJO should have been shooting foul shots after his drive to the basket.  If you remember he lined up to shoot the throws and the officials changed the call to a non shooting foul after Roberts complained.  At the end of the day, Coobie made the three to put us ahead by two immediately after that.  A much better result than DJO shooting 2 free throws.

That's what he was mad about? Putting DJO on the line was a horrible call...the refs got it right!

Knowing how detail oriented Buzz is, somebody probably wouldn't let him in the building with his clear glass water bottle, and it just ruined his whole day.  I love the guy, but I can see simple things setting him off.

Yea...just rewatched it on Espn 360...he was definately passing. I think he is more upset about them switching it.

Knowing how detail oriented Buzz is, somebody probably wouldn't let him in the building with his clear class water bottle, and it just ruined his whole day.  I love the guy, but I can see simple things setting him off.

Yeah, I agree. I remember something earlier in the game when two of the refs seemed to get pissed at Buzz (this was after a loose ball out of bounds in front of SJU bench) and got on him about something. Maybe that's where the frustration originated from.

Buzz spent a good deal of time talking about how he was criticized as a coach, not having players practice FT's (odd since MU choked down the stretch), etc, and seemed angry overall.  He seems very sensitive to what is said and written about him.

I think it's funny when coaches talk aobut how they don't even know what their record is, they don't read the newspaper or watch the t.v. sports shows, and you know they do.

Not odd at all.  Very complimentary of SJU, Roberts, his players and Villanova.

Upset about the call  and rightly so.  We as fans have been complaining all year about the lack of consistency of officiating and it looks like Buzz has had it.

Buzz seemed neither particularly angry nor odd.
