Lunardi said we weren't a "lock".  What does this loss do to us?

paulpogo

Now we get a desperate Uconn team.  Then we pray.

The Pickle

We are playing against one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball, another being us, I really don't think it takes us out of the tournament and I also don't think we have to win again to get in.  In a weird way, this may have helped us move from a dreaded 8/9 seed back down to a 10-12 seed.  Just trying to find a silver lining...

We'll be an 8 or 9 but able to play our way up in the BET.  Maybe we'll get lucky  and move to 10 which I'd prefer.  But, we're in.

Hottest teams my arse! We handed it to them from the accounts I've seen!

UCONN lost again today....I don't think we can play them.  I believe we get Cincy or St. John's

Not a hot team?  They beat Pitt, Georgetown, and UConn their last 3 games and then beat us...

The Pickle

Oh, and the game before those 3 games they lost to Louisville, @ Louisville, in OT.  The same Louisville team who just beat Syracuse...

Now what?    Off to NYC.   Put the oops in the rearview mirror and get ready for next.

Doesn't matter who they beat. In THIS game, we had 'em and blew it.

I'm not going to say we're getting in, but I will be dumbfounded if we don't get in after finishing 5th in the Big East and beating every other bubble team in our conference with the exception of ND today.

And don't tell me how sour the loss to DePaul is.  One bad in conference loss and one bad out of conference loss.  That's it.

paulpogo

Either way, we need to root for Butler and Northern Iowa to keep two teams who otherwise wouldn't have gotten in from getting there.

Northern Iowa is in the final of their tourney and Butler plays UWM tonight in the semis.

But there aren't any real "quality wins" to offset those.

It's just a bizarre season and some teams are always going to be upset and angry about staying home.

especially with what everyone is calling the "weakest bubble in recent memory" .... I feel confident that we are in regardless of what happens in NY

Katz says we are out unless MU wins 2 in the BET.  WTF?

jaygall31

do we know for sure who the game before us is?
It's not about ME,
It's about US.

Katz went to Wisconsin, and as a UW graduate is a moron.

So he must be also be a moron when he compliments MU...

There may be some silver lining to today's game.  Assume we win the first game of the BET, and lose the second.  My guess is we would be between a 10-12 seed.  Those are the seeds everyone has been coveting.

Had we won today and went 1-1 in the BET, we might have gone as 8 or 9, which would just about guarantee a second round loss.
