still don't know what they were paying back.....if anything, zito should be paying the giants back for being such a donkey.

I thought his celebration was cool, but I can see how crusty "baseball types" didn't like it. Baseball and hockey are both sports with a lot of unwritten rules, and if you step out of line, you'll know it.

I give Prince a lot of credit. He wore it. Walked to first. Now it's over.

He also flipped the ball back at Zito then clapped his hands loudly at him while laughing at him........

So many unwritten rules are freaking dumb....

Edit: See the Un-Fun Team Cardinals - f them.

zito's 70 mph fastball must've really hurt.

Go Brewers.

Yea, I don't really like all of the rules either...

BUT... if it was Manny Rameriez doing that celebration against the Brewers, there would be people celebrating that he got plunked as payback.

It cuts both ways, ya know?

so long as he doesnt taunt the other team - i doubt it. there are just some people who if you stuck a piece of coal up their poop shoot you would get a diamond...like most of the city of st. louis.

This is absurd.

good job Prince for not getting too heated about it.

To the Giants.... WOW you all are idiots.

Like Chili said, it wasn't a taunt it was a celebration.  The same as a handshake after the game, just a bit more dramatic--get over it you GIANT pansies.

What do you expect from a team that employed Barry Bonds for so many years

Touche.

I was thinking that it is a new decade and all....but that's what I get for thinking.

im not sure how i feel about the unwritten rules - in hockey (which I admit to being more knowledgeable about) I really like them a lot. However, i love how young and cocky the Brewers play sometimes. I think its a great schtick for a small market team from milwaukee and makes them a really fun team to get behind.  maybe i would hate it if i were from another city or rooted for someone else - but im not and i dont so i dont need a good reason.

This is the most honest statement a fan can ever make.

Let's face it, whether we "like" something or not usually depends on the jersey they are wearing.

We all want to pretend like it's not a factor, but it is a HUGE factor.

(for the record, I though prince's celebration was cool, but I'm also OK with the Giants plunking him).

It is what it is, its not like they went at his head or anything.  I can guarantee that if you asked Prince if the celebration was worth the Barry Zito looper into his considerable backside, he'd say it was.  Letting it spill over that long is a bit odd, its not like the Brewers and Giants have year-in-year-out animosity toward each other.

He was already quoted as saying "hell yeah it was worth it".

Mike Golic (of ESPN) when off on Zito over this.  I was great, so great sportscenter was devoting two minutes to his rant ripping Zito a new one.
