was that in the second half........with a 23 point lead (46-23) Lazar and Butler had a combined 5 points to that point. If you knew upfront that the margin at that point would be 23, with MU's top scorers with 5 points, I'm guessing most would bet the house that it would have been Louisville with the runaway win.

I know, I feel this game gave us the confidence our role players needed to be aggressive. Acker, DJO, and Fulce were simply not afraid to take the ball to the hoop in a crowded lane. I smell a run in the Big East and NCAA tourny. and it smells delicious
Farva:"Give me six Schlitzes."
O'Hagan: "Take it easy, Rod."
Farva: "Open bar, dude!"

it does smell pretty good.
I haven't felt this good after a win in a while; that is saying alot considering the amount of tele-shots going on during / after the game w/ fellow mu-ers

Yes, this is absolutely true and actually something I said to my friends at that point in the game... almost a direct quote, lol

Another thing about it though was that even in the strecth that they were trying to get Zar going he was passing on good looks to get great looks for his teammates.  His unselfishness was on display in my opinion as well as his pure hustle with 3 steals, 5 boards.  Great game to see.

DJO is not a role player. he definitely is a stud!
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

This win definitely has a different feel.  We looked like a top ten team meaning we played against a above average team and dominated them.  The game was not in question for most of the game and all of the second half.  I know they made a run but we squashed it immediately.  They didn't get within single digits.

Also, we weren't red hot from the field.  And its not like UL was cold (missing wide open shots) but we were forcing them to take difficult shots.  We just played great.

That's one thing I've noticed too.  Our offense was great all year, but at times our defense looked like a sieve.  The past few weeks our defense has had a different feel to it, and the team's overall defensive efficiency has slowly creeped higher.  It's definitely a good trend, especially if the shots aren't falling, which they won't some nights.

Role player this year may be stud next year.  I hope that is the case for Junior, Erik, Joe, Chris, Dwight.  DJO has been playing like an All-Conference player.

That sort of performance makes it tough to game plan for us.   ;)
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.
